That said, today I'm stringing the gorgeous Rugged Realism Geneo BJD from The Rites of Passage Series that I purchased directly from the artist, Helene Holz Kosasie. I don't know! 😅 But I'm glad you found it! Btw, I'll be back soon! I'm living in an RV park right now while waiting to move into my new house! All my dolls except for 3 are in storage! So I can't wait to get moved in, unpacked, and start making videos again! I've missed you! 🤗

He is beautiful! 😍 Was vicariously struggling with you! Now you need to knit "unboxing/stringing video loin cloths" for your guys 😉. I'm not an expert in stringing BJDs at all... Maybe for your next guy, start the stringing for the body in the torso, with the knot in the torso too. String both the legs first, then the upper torso then thru the neck. Then you'd only have one point of tension to worry about and the legs would be more even? It's only a theory... This was so fun to watch too! Can't wait for the next one! I'd much rather watch problem solving and improvisation... Also can't wait to see the wig try on sessions, the faceup, Chase, etc... Thx for sharing the vid!

Awww thank you so much Candi!!! Lol The struggle was real! 😂 I had another struggle this week as well trying to get the suction cups onto my new Sentro knitting machine! I unboxed it over on my @Needle2Needle channel and filmed the assembly of it too. 🤪 Oh my... Knit loin cloths is a great idea! I just might be crazy enough to attempt that! 😅👍

Oh and thanks for the tips on stringing! The artist also emailed an alternate method that I haven't really looked into yet. But I'll definitely be going at it differently for my next guy. This one was way more challenging than I had anticipated! Lol

I use woven slick ribbon. Like the ones you buy at Joanna's by the spool. And two hemostats to keep the cord where I want it. The hemostats lock.

You need the surgical clamps hemostats and a stringing hook from dolls parts. These would be helpful the next time. If someone has not mentioned it before.😊 Place a hook to your wall or a piece of wood to put the head hook on ,then string that way. Add the hook along with the head and cord. Pull that through the body.

Ohhh thank you so much! I've heard of using hemostats, but didn't know about the stringing method you mentioned! I'll definitely look into that! Sounds like a game changer! 🙏🏻💞

Lol Thank you!!! They really are very unique and interesting! 😅 Not like anything sold in stores here. All of mine were sculpted by independent artists and/or created in other countries. I guess they might freak some people out. But there's a whole community of collectors!

Lol thank you! Stringing is always such a challenge! I have yet to string my other boy. Hopefully I'll get to him this week. I think I'm going to attempt a different technique of stringing.

They did make smaller versions, but I don’t think they’re making them anymore. You might be able to find them on the second hand BJD (ball jointed dolls) market! I buy a lot of my BJDs second hand. 💞

@@AnnyeongBJD well my main thing I am wanting is STL files for 3D printing. 🤗 I wasn't sure how these dolls were made. They are very nice.

@@montarsisminiatures ohhh how fun! I’d love to try 3-D printing sometime. Some of the BJD artists print their own dolls and others send a master off to be cast in resin.

@@AnnyeongBJD omggg see I want the molds of whoever casts them. I am not the best at mold making. That is genius. 3D printing is tough and intimidating. I printed all on my own first time last weekend with some errors. It's all trial error. 😍🤗

These are the SD size, so they average about 24 inches high. They're big boys! ❤
