INTERCOM TROUBLE, AVOIDING SHEEP, BOILED BRAKES AND ACCIDENTLY GETTING INVOLVED IN A CYCLING RACE (yes, those bikes without engines!)
Probably one of my favourite parts to edit because I felt like I was reliving this day again and what a good day it was!!
Riding 125cc on long trips is pretty fun and accessible to everyone whether you're a newbie or an old hand.

Here’s me an hour each way today on my own 125 and I’m exhausted. You’ve travelled across half of Wales and are still having a blast! Love these videos. It’s great seeing parts of the country I never have before but it’s good to know that I could! Just seen you’re still stuck with your illness. God’s speed on your recovery 👍

Such a fun series. We just came back from our annual “camping” gathering, sadly it’s an end of an era of decades and generations as the “camping” in the style we have been slowly grown into has become to costly so much so we can fly to Hawaii for the same cost. Motor home sites have gone from $30 per night up to $200 per night, small one room cabins up to over $350 per night.

Wow, you're in my back yard, ride that every week except deepest of winter when it can be very Icy, you seemed to catch a lot of cyclists, not often that busy, I have a CRF300 Rally as well as my road bikes and ride the trails, LOVE it, retired here 6 years ago, best decision of my life. !!! We are using clear signals too, but my wife doesn't trust the power of her 900cc twin, I'm then like "It's 0-60 in like 3s, u can easiely pass, girl ^^". Well, she is used to cars and learning. :)

Please take care using the “Clear” system over the intercom. You are passing side turnings, parking areas and residential driveways when using it. All the best.

Yes we don't rely on it and have blind faith, it is just extra information to use when decision making

You are right Chris, some of that overtaking was sheer recklessness through hamlets and village areas. A surviving motorcyclist anticipates ANYthing pulling out of ANY roadside entrance or gateway, at ANYtime, and ANYwhere where it may be possible for that to happen (a dog, a child on a bicycle, a mother and pram emerging, a car backing out etc). But having said that, I have very much enjoyed the small bike camping trip series. Thank you Kate.

It certainly is beautiful scenery there. You did very well getting past the sheep. Here in my part of rural Oz we have to dodge kangaroos as well😁 but it's all good. Great footage Kate. Well done.

I saw that. I'm a retired farmer and you handled the sheep that strayed onto the road situation very well. People that have been critical are self-appointed experts in animal welfare but in reality are totally ignorant and arrogant and will not be reasoned with. They're not worth a second thought. You did just fine Kate and no harm at all was done.

Handy having someone tell you if its clear to overtake! Comm issues must be irritating. Reminds me of my CBT when lost comms then got shouted at😂. More lovely Wales! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (Maybe can squeeze in another trip this year. Could do a local trip to Sussex etc).

Looks like a really cool trip :) I read somewhere that Bluetooth devices are connected in a daisy chain fashion and you need to stay in the order you paired them. Not sure if it helps but it might make a difference figuring out which order to ride in. Until you all have DMC :)

Didn't chase them as such, just continued our path. We slowed down but needed to try to pass them at point so as to not further separate the front runner from the others!

What comms do you have I have a sena and that happened to mind pots and pans is a good explanation of how it sounded. P.s I would’ve slowed and passed the sheep myself you never know what way they are going to go. But I’m not unsubscribing.

Haha well thank you for sticking around Jane! I was using a freecom 4 and the other 2 packtalk bolds. We think it's because the freecom can only support Bluetooth and not the dmc mesh system that the bolds have. Or at least that was our theory 😅

what i larn , i will not drive with communication systems in a group ,plus wind&engine noises -to loud and powerless for more miles/km (fun fact : Kymco scooter 50cc ~590€ fuel by 15.100km AND 🌟...Yamaha 125cc ~675€ by 17.000km 😁 ...have a nice🌟 holiday what about the Honda 125cc can you overbet the miles and undergrad the fuel costs???)

What intercom systems were being used here? You mentioned that the guys were using "DMC" - that's a mesh intercom right?

Yea, so I am using a Cardo Freecom 4 and they're both on Cardo Pack Talk Bolds. Mine only has Bluetooth capability I believe!

"You need to get past them so they're not separated" - correct. They would have run forever if you trickle along behind them. If they're out their field, then get past and they can return in their own time and more importantly together. Seperate the lambs and ewes and that will really distress them.

Yes, she clearly chased and chased them for ages 🙄 She absolutely didn’t slow down until a suitable pass was found and didn’t allow them time to sort themselves out 🙄 give your head a wobble. There’s nothing wrong with the way the sheep were dealt with and I’ve got no reason to believe Kate & crew wouldn’t have stopped to help the sheep if that’s what was required.
