Here's making of videos of my Aerith Gainsborough fan art sculpture. In this process I focused myself on the art of sculpting. I hope you guys can learn something trough this videos. I would say that this is definitely not one and only workflow for sculpting characters, but it's effective for learning volume, forms and details.
The video is consist of many different sculpting session put together into one. Any skipped or unrecorded footage is due to technical error.
Any reference images seen in the video I do not own them. All founded in Google and it's all for references and educational purposes only.

There are many Patreons that offer printable STL files every month. Exclusive sculpts for the people who support the artist. Some sell models on CGTrader or Cults3D and MyMiniFactory. The 3d printing market is rapidly growing. This month a new resin printer generation became available that prints faster than before. More new and larger printers will hit the market next month. Printing 1/6 or 1/4 scale figures will be no problem. I'm really happy about this development. :-)

@@Yudit1999 Don't see why it isn't. Export it as an OBJ, import into Meshmixer and cut/key. Export as STL and there ya go.

For animation, This method needs to be brought to the next step which is retopology. basically remodeling the whole model with new topolgy that supported for rigging and animation.

thanks for the video, I have a question, if the client wants to print the model, what is the best way to remove the polygons from the clothes that are inside of the body (I hope you understand me)

You're talking about making a ready print model? I actually have no idea. Even tho currently I'm working in the statue/figure industry. My job is only making the digital sculpt data. The cutting and stuff is done by other people.

May I ask what's happening at around 5:00 ? There was some parenting but I don't understand what are the empties for

The empty object acted as the main parent to control other object. It's easier that way I can only scale the empty for example without effecting the other object's transform information.

You can use boolean, but in some cases I just prefer to do it manually.

@@softia42 you can see the workflow though, sculpting is not a thing of which tutorials can be made, it's skill dependent

How the hell are you managing to sculpt at 5 mil in Blender? Usually my computer decides it can only sculpt at 1fps at around 2 million and that's with a 3700x and a 2060S

I'm not sure. Mine is completely fine. I always make sure my machine is healthy and clean and there hasn't been any major problem working with it.
