Hey man awesome build.....question so if gains are set with a DD1 and your clip never comes on does that mean its clean signal no matter what or is it still possible to send a dirty signal to the amp and subs without the clip light coming on? Thanks
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
If clip light not coming on, they you are not going to be sending a clipped signal to your subs. When demoing I always crank it till I see clip light then back off just a tad
@chuckhills29872 жыл бұрын
Love the build. My grounding is stout under hood and i have a singer 300 amp alt. Is it imperative to have a ground go to the trunk or can you use you chassis. I have 2 o-gauge runs from alt to front batt and the big three also. 2 runs of 0gauge power going the the back so should I run a ground backs as well? I'm about to install 4 d4s LTO's for a wolfram 9k
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
I would for sure. Unless you have a actual frame and not a unibody and have grounded it considerably up front. Then when grounding to frame in rear, you will have little resistance.

do you prefer these lithium over the cyber 12k? Having a lil trouble with my install and I trust your judgement. I don't have my wires ran yet or my alternator. I have 2 level 5 12s just like yourself. my amp is a Ampere Audio7500. I don't want to charge that high maybe between 13.8 14.4 @ the most. I'm getting a 250alt.for my 18highlander. I narrowed down my lithium choices to Underground Power 100ah, a Headway bank probably 1 and a half super beast modules from battery hookup, Limitless cyber 12k, and 3 to 4 D4S Lithium 6.0s? I forgot to mention that I will be wiring my amp down to .5ohms. Hopefully I can get 10k out of it. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME, HELP, AND FOR RESPONDING. I watch almost everyday. you have a vast knowledge of car audio.
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
I do. These 2 honestly out performed what my cyber 12k could do. Absolutely stunned with the results from these. If you plan on charging at 14v then the D4S LTO’s are going to suit you well. Other options may give it more AH and be cheaper. But for an all in one package, with performance, warranty, and reliability/safety of LTO. It is a clear choice for me.

Should II fuse before battery from alternator or after battery or do both? Also what are your thoughts on JL augmented grounds from back chassis amp grounds straight to front battery. Can I tie the amp and lithium (Lto 6.0) grounds per distribution block from back straight to front battery (AGM)?

Did you use any sound deadening in the back area ? I installed a single 12” in my step-daughters 2014 Scion TC… I had to remove all the panels and use deadening but it still sounds like a Tin can !!! What can I do to reduce the vibration in that car ?
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
Yes, check out my Build progress videos. I believe it was part-3 where I deadened the entire area. You can see the video thumbnail on my videos. Only thing you cash do is add more layers.

I have a weird question. I have my port facing a board that my amp is mounted on. And I have been. Worried about vibration on the amp. Like they be shaking the whole car so even if you mount it to the car or in my case screw the board down. It's still going to be vibrating. What's your take on this.
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
They are pretty resilient… many people in know still screw their so to their sub box. Big no no in my book, but they still beating string without any issues. I think if you have a quality amp, it will be just fine

I thought whenever you upgrade to 1/0 from alternator to battery, you add a fuse between the 2.
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
You can if you want to be “extra safe”. I don’t run fuses between my rear bank and amp either. Some do, some don’t. Just preference

If I was to install 2 100AH agm batteries on stock alternator, how manny watts could I go up to?
@NextLevelCarAudio2 жыл бұрын
I’d say between 5-8k however, discharge/recharge rates are nowhere near lithium, let alone LTO. So if you stretch it on the high end, you will likely see dips in voltage and will take longer for voltage to rise. So id stay in the 5k range to maintain voltage

Whole build was nice untill the fans. Overkill and noisy. Would have looked more coherent with several good fans and a couple hidden ducts. I always use Sunon for fans in projects, a lot of models have 3 versions at each voltage. The middle versions are a perfect low noise high flow balance.
