Part 5 RN to BSN Capella University flexpath completed in 8 wks. My experience/Tips/grades

I can officially comment now that I finished my BSN from Capella. I did there FlexPath RN-BSN program in ONE BILLING CYCLE. (12 weeks) I had to complete all 8 core nursing classes (24 credits). 4.0 GPA Regionally accredited , CCNE No exams, texbooks, discussion posts, or group projects. You will do papers, power-points, visual and audio presentations, and an ePortfolio/resume at the end. You will have to submit a 3 hour "distance clinical experience" in your capstone that can literally be you talking over a hypothetical patients case with your wife/husband. Everyone is different. It took me approximately 4-6 hours per assignment. Each class will have roughly 4 assessments each (Capstone has 5) The hardest classes you will do is NURS-FPX4050. I procrastinated a lot. If you can do 1 assessment per day you will finish in 5-6 weeks. You will EARN this degree. You can have teachers who are EXTREMELY picky on formatting. Good luck looking them up on ratemyprofessor.com, you will barely find teachers. You will have to roll the dice sometimes. You can open at least two assignments at once. I recommend staggering. Take your first class, when you begin your third assignment go ahead and open your second, and repeat for your third, etc. Contact with "advisor" was minimal to non-existent. The instructors have up to two business days to grade your assignment. (weekends do not count as days) Base all of your assignments off the distinguished grading criteria. You will use a video recording software called Kaltura, it can suck sometimes. The Capella website will also suck sometimes. I have had to switch between browsers to get it to work a few times. I am glad it's over, and at times you will be very frustrated. But I highly suggest the program for individuals with an associates degree in nursing who want to finish a BSN program in under 3 months for $3500.00. You must be INCREDIBLY efficient with your time, and a STRONG self-starter. If you are organized, a strong writer, and motivated you can do it too! Hope this helps everyone interested in this option.

AlmaIris you’re very welcome yeah Just do a one class per week you’ll get the faster or if you can two classes I don’t know what you have going on in your life but one of those routes will get you done faster it just gets easier

i don’t remember. i would have to check. no they all were fair graders. i mean u have 3 attempts before submission of your final assessment. But i have heard that they all are a little detailed about the assessments since i have graduated. but i mean u get 3 attempts before u final 4th submission
