(Part 8) Star Fox 64 | Final Boss: Andross + Brain | PEMNAS Playthrough

Welcome to the eighth part of my ninth PEMNAS Playthrough. IN HIGH DEFINITION! This month is another Nintendo game from 64-Bit era, and THIS game is Star Fox 64 game for the Nintendo 64!
This game was what Star Fox 2 could have been on the SNES. Except this time, it's in a much more detailed world then the original ever was before.
Several new things to point out here. I really love how tight the controls are in this game. You can almost seamlessly move your Arwing around the screen with no problem, and you always feel like you're in control. Also new is the ability to take alternate paths in levels that can take you to different planets, which can result in a totally different story direction and progression. Hope you enjoy. =)
Also, PEMNAS stands for "PLEASE EXCUSE MY NOOB ASS SKILLS." I invented the term myself.

I always thought this was such a creepy final boss. I still to this day don't understand why you fight a giant brain. But damn was it scary as a kid.

Nah, that's his actual true form, Andross overdosed on self experiments and ended up mutating horrifyingly to a giant brain with eyes, and so he constructed a replica of his face around it

I remember so much frustration the first time I fought that stupid brain. I had NO IDEA how to beat him. Every time I managed to shoot him he would just disappear. I thought I was missing some obvious trick. Nope. The brain is just a jerk. Keep shooting him till it works.

There is a better pathway to follow at the beginning of the battle. Go left, right, left, left, right, right. You get 3 gold rings, two lazers and a bomb.

Last time I checked, after you blow Andross' face up, you see his robot exterior, then he comes FLYING towards the screen, trying to bite you or something.. It freaked the living CRAP out of me.

@Varindran Yeah sometimes It does stalk me when I replay it, I guess it was either my difficulty level or just dumb luck. The boss is pretty easy though. It is just all about timing when you Loop the Loop

@TheDarkharveststudio Oh sorry I didn't mean 2 Venom planets, I meant 2 different sides to approach it. The easy side (on the bottom side) has a fake Andross and the harder side (top side) has the brain. You have to usually go through a different planet sequence to get to the harder Venom rather than the easier side of Venom.

@leonidas231 You have to beat all the planets going around the left, or top side way to Venom. Your first step doing doing this is on the first level you will see a part about 2/3 through were there are things down in the water you can fly under, you have to fly under them all and then you will fight a different boss and start your path on the top side.

@XxiampoorxX The thing is there is an alternate path to the game. The way you did it was the easy mode. In each planet there is an alternate path to knew planets. in this walkthrough, he did the hard mode. so he got the better ending.

@AgentStyles pshylogolical (sorry for the misspelled) Thats where James died. So when Fox was caught in Andross" explosion (Must've hit his head for this) he remembered his father and imagined him being there. So in retrospect, Fox did this by himself.

I just got Starfox 64 3D Yesterday. I beat it today, but only because for some reason, Andross' Brain didnt stalk me around the room, so I won easily.

Make sure that you kill star wolf and his crew before the bomb explodes on mission 3, then on mission 5 make sure you activate all of the key thingies and make the train go off course.

Just saying theres a WAY EASIER way to kill his brain. All you do is shoot andross's brain so he teleports and keep sharp turning to the right or left. he will always be right infront of you so you can land a couple shots to the weak spot then quickly hit his brain again so he teleports. Just do this like 3-4 times and boom done with no damage to your arwing. :D

@MrBabymack star fox isnt all about flying star fox is a mercanary team for hire that does the means to complete their missions.even in 64 you have to go on land unless our good enough to get to seter z everyone never realizes it but its not about flying.and there was an under water level in aquas.its not about flying.assault was amazing.it had good voice acting great graphics.i agree if it had more air combat it would have been better.but you cant always save the galaxy from an arwing

@machomancoki You must take the hard path to fight Andross brain and get the real ending. If you take the easy path you fight a fake robot Andross. The final boss on the hard path is the real Andross.
