Scrolling through the comments, I've seen a couple regarding Melchior's reaction to Wendla dying. Although they were comments from a few years ago I feel like I should point something out: Melchior just lost his best friend, his love and his unborn child. It shouldn't matter how he screamed the "no" because in a time like that you have no idea what else to do, and you're going to let out your emotion in any way possible. Personally I think the entire scene of once he finds her grave is beautiful. The amount of emotion Jonathan puts into it is so real and moving. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Thank you so much for uploading this by the way!!

I seriously wish Jon would get a Tony. I cry every single time he starts singing "Now they'll walk on my arm through the distant night, and I won't let them stray from my heart. Through the wind, through the dark, through the winter light. I will read all their dreams to the stars."

The scene with Melchior in the graveyard when he discovers Wendla's grave makes me sick to my stomach with sadness. And then when he starts sobbing, I cry with him. Jonathan Groff puts so much soul into his work, it's amazing. Both he and Lea should've gotten Tony's for this.

I've never been so touched by a musical and this one is filmed with a digital camera. If the original cast ever came back to do it on Broadway, I wouldn't care if I had to swim across the Atlantic. I'd be there, period. And I'd probably cry throughout the entire show. So beautiful.

Oh my god!!! I'm sobbing right now!!!! This musical is absolutely amazing and the OBC is just breathtaking. I spent my entire day watching all of this and I have to say, my day doesn't feel wasted at all. I absolutely love everyone in this cast and this musical makes me cry everytime I listen to the music. It's just amazing. And, I love Jon and Lea on Glee, just saying. I'm glad I get to see her sing another amazing song every Tuesday night (:

There's so much to it. It's hard with the audio quality to hear everything that happens. You'll have to see an off-broadway version or something. Everything about it is extraordinary.

@xiahbee wendla dies from a forced abortion on her baby. Thats why that doctor told the mom to bring her to him at night and he asked her if she was sure she wanted to have her go through with it because it was a risk to her daughter. She just wanted her to be rid of the baby... I saw that coming, but I must say, Melchior's reaction brought tears to my eyes. =[

This is my 2nd time watching the Spring Awakening on KZfaq. I only wish I got to see it live. All the actors and actresses were phenominal. I almost cried when Jonathan Groff was crying. I wished they had this musical when I was a teenager. My parents refused to talk to me about sex. They were very strict and over protective like these parents were. I thought Spring Awakening was moving.

In the original play, Moritz's ghost actually tried to convince Melchior to join him in death. It was creepy as heck. Thank goodness they changed it. As much as the original ending is brilliant with the character of the Masked Man, this one is just as powerful, if not more.

Even though it didn't hold the same magnitude as this performance, I saw the second US run of SA, and recommend seeing this musical live. There's something more that the actors chosen to be in this play convey... A poignancy that can only be experienced when its right before your eyes. It's worth the wait and the money, and it never gets old-- an obvious point since I'm re-watching it via KZfaq. I'm not in a theatre yet I still break out into tears q_q

I wish I ended it after hearing Whispering so I could pretend that they kept their kid. I blame Wendla's mother, of course. She kept the truth from Wendla, so how could she possibly know the consequences? I actually feel bad for Melchior - his lover and child get killed before he really even knew about the existence of said child. Yes, he could have told her about the possibility of pregnancy - but that's not his responsibility, and Wendla might not have even known that he knew.

After Wendla finds out she's pregnant, Melchior gets blamed for Moritz's death and Wendla's pregnancy, so he gets kicked out without knowing that Wendla is pregnant. He runs away from the reformatory to be with Wendla, but Wendla died on the table when her mom forced her to get an abortion. Then Melchior tries to kill himself but the ghosts of Moritz and Wendla stop him.

@JennyTangoJBJPHS I'm guessing you're talking about the guy to the left of Melchoir? That was his best friend who committed suicide after he failed school and wasn't able to flee to America. Hence why Melchior says "Well, you had the right idea" before he attempts to commit suicide by slitting his throat.
