Additional information on making sets. You can also form "Chow" (consecutive numbers), when the player on your right(only) discards a tile that completes the set. You can take the discarded tile and lay down your set face up to show the other players. You can form Pong / Kang (3 and 4 identical tiles) when any player discards the tile, regardless of the player position. Lay down your formed sets to show the other players and continue with the game until a player completes all their sets and win the game.

Is Filipino style different in that the game goes clockwise instead of counter clockwise like in Chinese style?

@@SChan-gy4qw Yes, we play the game clockwise. Others may have played it differently but I have not seen it.
