Mike Nayna the thing that makes me feel the saddest, the sickest - and I mean physically nauseous is that these young adults represent our collective future. How can we even comment on any of their own self-incriminating behavior as captured vividly here and not fall directly into their trap? I’m glad I’m not domiciled in this country any more.

Why doesn’t Bret in the documentary or other interviews acknowledge this is the end result of Socialism/Collectivism? Because I assume he is a supporter of socialist ideals but doesn’t or will not make the connection that this it the logical outcome of those political/social philosophies. As in China, USSR, Cambodia, Cuba etc....

I really wish, as part of this, you would interview someone who works in college admin. I do not understand the writer of that note talking about higher tuition - does he not understand that state schools do not raise their own tuition? If you wanna change something, you gotta know how it works. Also. A school admin would be great to explain how schools hire faculty , what the criteria is. That would be nice

Many of these “micro movements” in the past were actually about crying racism until a few leading the movement or their friends were given cushy jobs. Has anyone ever done an update to see what the students who were most active in this movement are now doing for a living? I doubt that that they are teaching chemistry somewhere.

You cannot solve a problem that is not defined. And the definition MUST be precise, or your solution likely will not have the intended consequences. A co-worker at a past job doing tech support complained of his personal computer crashing with a blue screen error. He began trying many things to resolve the problem. He installed and uninstalled software and drivers. He did Windows updates. He rolled back Windows updates. He replaced the RAM. He replaced the Power supply. He re-installed Windows. The problem persisted. He asked me for help, so we got the bug check code and analyzed his dump file. I don't remember the exact error code, but it indicated that the virtual memory lookup table in cache was not pointing to the correct memory address. The precisely defined problem was that the CPU was not correctly storing the lookup table and therefore faulty. Finally I convinced him the problem was the CPU, and once it was replaced the computer functioned properly. He spent weeks or months and hundreds of dollars doing things that did not do anything to solve the problem because he didn't know what problem he was solving. "It stops randomly" is very different from "The CPU halts because it lost track of where information was stored in memory and could no longer execute commands correctly." How much more complex is society than a computer? Infinitely? I don't know. We're clearly throwing error codes, but if they aren't understood, what good could we possibly do? How much time could we waste before the problem actually gets defined?

So either you have examples or you don't and if you don't then you need to shut the h*** up. You can make accusations all day long about someone but if you don't have the proof to back it up then you just talking shit. I'm sorry I don't bow my head and let the crowd decide what I am who I am, If you're going to accuse me of Racism but you have no proof of it no evidence then you're just a dumb a** talking shit trying to get your 2 seconds of fame. And before anybody tries to twist my words let me throw this out I do not feel any race is better than any other race we are all equal under God I do feel you should be proud of your raytional matter whether your black Brown white green yellow you should be proud of who you are. It's absolutely terrifying to me. This is what happens when cynical, power-hungry psychos control the narrative. I know that this is often said as a kind of joke, but this time I absolutely mean it: My faith in humanity has severely declined here. I guess as long as there are humans, there will always be such people and if they successfully take over, hell is about to arrive... again... and again... and again... nobody is learning from history, but instead history will always be abused as a tool to prove your ideology right... by all sides -_- (This is not a message to encourage giving up, because no matter how bad things are: it can always get worse. Giving up is not an option.)

Doesn't have anything to do with being "spoiled". Wealth levels are increasing for ages, so that would mean all the generations that are younger than older generations are "spoiled" and change into these woke cultists. In fact, even the Romans thought of their kids as "spoiled". It's more of a lack of a central stage where people used to discuss ideas in earlier times. Radio and TV offered a central stage where talking heads of different ideologies would meet eachother. Especially a few decades ago when viewers only had a few channels. We don't have that with the internet anymore, you can isolate yourself in your own bubble. Even churches were a stage where you could discuss ideas (to some extent of course and not all churches were that diverse) and people from different backgrounds would meet in church. I'm atheist but I believe that with secularization we threw the baby away with the bathwater. Churches were actually a perfect institution to meet other people and discuss eachother's beliefs. And be honest: we are seeing the same on the right wing. Conspiracy theories are very popular, the alt-right is on the rise. I'm European (Dutch) and almost every European country has a large far right party nowadays.

@@dodec8449 I agree with most of what you said, but those students are also spoiled. Even boomer’s children did not talk to or treat their elders or people in authority the way these students did. In the 1960s and 1970s, students had sit-ins but they did not take college presidents hostage or attack faculties. They demonstrated peacefully. The only time things turned violent was when police intentionally became abusive to escalate things on purpose, just like they do now. The extreme radicals who were violent were a very small group unrepresentative of the other civil rights and anti-war protesters. Now kids are behaving like this, and spoiled white kids inflamed with adrenalin are tearing down statues as if they are the offended parties, not black people in those communities. Too much power has been given to people too young and we’re seeing the results.

@@dodec8449 You’re right, it is international, which makes it all the scarier. These brats do not represent the majority of students or people their age, although in general young people are more disrespectful of elders than they’ve ever been. But extremism with its intolerance and fascistic tendencies has grown. The rush to condemnation and ruining the lives and careers of people before gathering facts and understanding context is a problem that really grew worse in the last couple of years. These are a bunch of kids who have been fed a lot of horseshit they didn't know was horseshit. I also sense a fair bit of poorly-socialized functional-autism kids here, which is actually something you kind of expect on a college campus, but usually not in the form of a mob. Don't judge them too harshly. Also, I'd bet that a lot of them really have had shitty experiences to rival his. I've thought about waking up black one day and all the things it would change in my life, all the ways I'd be judged differently, all of the -2's my RPG character's stats would suddenly take. It's not a small deal. They're pissed off for a reason. The problem is that someone's trying to use their anger and their naïveté to accomplish some really dubious goals. That being said, yes, Bret is remarkably calm and collected for someone standing in the middle of a mob that hates him. Props to him for not lashing out or even raising his voice. I have to wonder how much stress that this black college student was feeling is something superimposed upon him by programming. If your whole life you are told to watch out for cops, that white people are racist, etc, how much of what you experience has nothing to do with the programming but you perceived it that way. From my own life, I had experienced massive bullying for five years at school. It got to where I thought people were talking about me behind my back because the few people in school were talking about me behind my back for real. It took years to realize that the people doing so were individuals and that most people are NOT doing so. That was a snapshot.in time with certain people and the rest of my life, it isn't a thing. I had to be deprogrammed to not perceive every interaction that way. So how much of this is programming and not real racism?

It doesn't really mean anything other than "do what I say". That's the ultimate goal of their ideology. All their talk of race and gender is secondary to their narcopathic demands for personal attention. They may rail against white people and talk of bringing LGBT+ and "people of color" together to "struggle" for "liberation". But they're just as willing to throw a person who shares one or more of their "intersecting identities" under the bus for disagreeing with their nonsense. It just happens that white people are the majority so they use "whiteness" as a cudgel for their demands to be granted. They are only invoking the collective for individual gain and don't actually care about the individuals within that collective.

I to use to consider myself a liberal. From southern California, either voted independent, or Democrat my entire life. Then it all began to unravel. I’ve read all the works from gnome Chomsky, to Michael Parenti, however, something funny started to happen a couple years into the Trump presidency. (at least from my perspective.) The party changed, the alignment of the corporate media became undeniable. At first, I would say I dislike Trump because he was a liar, however, as time went on, it was the media that was doing the lying. Look at nearly every story to hit over that. With or without Trump. Every single one was a lie. Either to hurt Trump, or to make us believe that racism is far more prevalent in our society. I’ll just touch on a few.: Rittenhouse: Accused of shooting blacks (Nope) Jessy Smoolyay: his claims were absurd in the media back every single one of his lies Zimmerman: NBC actually edited the phone call to make it sound as if the shooting was racially motivated. Of course I can go on and on. However, what I discover next what is the nail in the coffin to ever go on myself with a democratic party ever again. All of these tactics, and praxis from which this way of thinking originated was the Frederick school in Germany during the Weimar republic aka 1930’s. This is a bolshevik/communist think tank essentially that poured over the works of Marx and Engels. They developed critical theory which goes hand-in-hand with postmodernism. This structure can be applied to literally anything. And it’s route is there is no objective truth. They believe there’s no truth to power, which nicely dovetails into Intersectionality and there victim hierarchies. I doubt that most of the students understand that they’re planting the seeds for communism, but I guarantee you many of these administrators do . This is definitely something not to be tied with, and Brett is exactly spot on as to how dangerous it can be

Make no mistake, this film is not primarily about the injustices committed to Bret and his wife. This film series documents the abuse and indoctrination of these youth into a hateful, violent, and racist ideology. These kids are a captive audience of ignorant, impressionable, and vulnerable students. Subversive ideological movements always target the young. Look at the Hitler Youth, the Opera Nazionale Balilla in Italy, and worst of all Mao's Red Guards: student paramilitaries who'd subject their teachers to humiliating struggle sessions before being tortured, spat on, executed, and hung outside from meat hooks so that students could cut off their flesh and eat it. Totalitarians use the young to destroy the old. Every time. Topple statutes, rename buildings, replace old customs with new ones, redefine the meaning of ordinary words, eradicate the traditional culture. We are on the cusp of a seriously bad situation.

It's much harder to really fight the things you hate without becoming hateful yourself, but it's the only way to make the world a better place. You don't fight racism with more racism, you don't fight extremism with opposing extremism, and you don't fight sensationalism and lies with more of your own. We need more voices speaking up for calm rationality and de-escalating these kinds of hot issues. When I was in school we WATCHED "The Wave." We didn't make it real life experience. You guys really have to watch out. You have a cultural revolution on the streets and struggle sessions at college. You have inquisitions on social media and and people Stasi-like denouncing their family, friends and coworkers. Please learn from Europe. You have opened the box of fascism again, and I hope to God this disease crosses the pond. Young people over here love their American influences and online series. They adapt to American life and political discourse and desperately tries to make it relevant here as well so they can look current and cool for their woke friends on Instagram and Twitter. A month ago children tried to make my country, Norway, sound like South-Africa during apartheid with black Norwegians talk about how someone touched their hair once and asked where they were from as if it was proof of the extreme racism of Norwegians. Placards filled the square outside of the Parliament where it stood slogans they had directly imported from this lot in US: White silence is violence, we can't breathe, stop killing us. When the last black person to be killed during arrest in Norway was in 2006. I worry for my country and for all of us.

It's the same in Switzerland. We have groups here actively spreading critical race theory and communist SJW nonsense. And a lot of people, maybe too many, it's hard to say, are buying into it. And to make things worse, the Swiss peolpe are dying out. More than half of all children below 6 years already have a migration background, nominal foreigners are already more than 25%, actual de facto foreigners (meaning including those who have a Swiss passport but are unintegrated, with foreign culture and no loyalty to Switzerland) are probaly more than one third or even more. And our national story and culture or religion is getting weaker and weaker. The only thing getting stronger is Islam. I don't see anything that will hold this country together in the future. This is like watching the cultural revolution. Guess where the students of the cultural revolution are now? @@albertdittel8898 the old guards of communism in China were responsible for the cultural revolution that happened in a time of rampant collectivisation of property that died with Mao and Deng xioping in 1979 Chinese communist party congress publicly admitted that for the sake of the nation we have to let some people become rich faster than others . So the argument that the old communist become capitalist is fundamentally a lie . The fact of that matter is that the old guards of cultural revolution and the great leap forward died and were replaced by the loyalist of the Deng xioping and under his leadership they adopted a more balanced vision of economic liberalism and Capitalism while increasing the power of the communist state as manifested in the tianmen square massacre of 1989. As far as the persecution of communist party in Imperial Russia was considered revolutionary movements in general as well as any secessionist movement were i suppressed by the tsarist regime after all it is the Russian Empire , However the spark of all this was a series of 9 attempts on the life of Tsar Alexander the second by an organisation called the people's will - [an organisation were the ulyanov family ( Lenin's family) had great interest in] - a revolutionary movement which on its tenth attempt (suicide attack ) successfully killed Tsar Alexander the second by blowing of his leg , this was the Russian equivalent of 9/11 and the graphic details of this attack left deep scars in Russian psyche . Hence forth all student movement were closely watched and internal passports were introduced . This does not justify what was done to the student movement but it does provide a valuable backdrop into the Russian attitude towards student revolutionary movements and societies.

Wow. This brings back the 9 years I taught at another experimental college on the east coast (latter 90s, early 2000s). Evergreen a little more than a decade on is much, much, much worse. Still... there are some similarities. Kids in a small, rarefied college experiencing what it feels like to have total power over the adults. It's about feeling the high of power and immediately turning into authoritarians, reveling in the chance to become oppressors. Really sickening that the college allowed this to happen,. A lot of scenes made me think of Madam Mao and the Cultural Revolution. Or even Pol Pot's transformation of society. Really ugly stuff. The white adults schooling and shaming the other white adults is clearly about not wanting to find themselves sent to the re-education camp. I wanted to move to another part of the country so quit my position at one of these little hothouse colleges, ending up teaching full-time at a community college. I sometimes have a brief sense of sadness over now teaching the same survey courses over and over again. After watching this, I realize teaching survey courses is a small price to pay to not have to experience this first hand. (Although, who knows for how long this will be the case.)

Intelligent people can see your deception and it does a lot to harm the dialogue as you make people wary of their political opponents.
