Schrodinger Equation Explained - Physics FOR BEGINNERS (can YOU understand this?)

EVEN YOU can understand what this fundamental equation of Physics actually means!
Hey you lot, how's it going? I'm back with another Physics video. This time, we're discussing the Schrödinger Equation (yes that's right, Schrödinger of dead/alive cat fame). This equation is the cornerstone of Quantum Physics, also known as Quantum Mechanics. However, it looks like a very complicated equation - so in this video I'll break it down for you. By the time you've finished the video, you'll be an expert in Quantum Physics (disclaimer: probably not lol, but you'll at least know a bit about what's going on).
So what is Quantum Mechanics exactly? Well, it's a theory that serves to describe how the universe works on a very small scale (think atoms, and smaller). At this scale, objects behave very differently to how they do at the scales we're used to. This get extremely weird, and students of Quantum Mechanics are often heard asking "HOW CAN THIS EVEN BE POSSIBLE?!" Unfortunately, nobody knows. However, at least until now, there isn't a single piece of experimental evidence that goes against Quantum Mechanics! If there was, we could reject this weird theory and move on with our lives (or at least modify the theory). But we can't...
The Schrödinger Equation then, explains what happens to what's known as a "quantum state". It describes the behaviour over time of this quantum state, which has to evolve in a very particular way based on the total energy of the state. A full description is in the video - so stop reading this description :D
If you enjoyed the video then please leave a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe! I'll see you soon :)

There should be two sections to the video. One where you explain them for general public. The other where you explain a bit elaborately for the science fellas.

As someone who fell into the "valley of despair" in the Dunning-Kruger effect graph, which I recently found out wasn't even from the study in the first place, one time, discovered that the juicy part of science is in the maths and set a goal to learn what 1 part of a complex scientific equation means every day, this is perfect.

Big thanks for explaining in everyday language what each symbol represents and their relationships to each other in trying to work out the changes in a quantum state, and for telling us at the end that it gets very complicated with all those subatomic movements! And not taking it for granted like so many academics, scholars and professors, so called experts, in their ivory towers, who do not bother to explain the maths symbols and concepts, so that the most people may understand.

The point of the hamiltonian is not to solve it, is to show that it IS solveable albeit practically impossible unless you have an infinite amount of energy to feed into a simulation algorithm.
