The first few pas de doo’s can be awkward and very strange at first. Feeling shy with a new partner can be awkward. I understand. It’s a strange and disconcerting feeling when somebody steps directly into your dance space. I struggled at first too and was terrified of being dropped! Not to mention I was not very good with the romantic roles. I could never stop giggling! Honestly? That was as far as my ballet career went before I took my last curtesy and started teaching. And …it was such a natural transition I barely even noticed. Teaching was way more fun than performing. Anywho…☺️…

Actually, she IS a student as well! Eva started taking adult ballet classes in her early 20’s (can’t remember her exact age) in the past year or two. She is actually a VERY skilled ballet photographer who decided to take up ballet herself. She posts shorts of her dancing progress on both her channels. She is doing very well!

Eva also lives in NYC now and the studio is in Arizona, so she can only film and take classes with them when she travels back there.

Both learn the common parts, the base, and each gender learns the specific elements. Excepting some crazy jumps that require a high level of testosterone, all the rest is potentially interchangeable, pointe shoes included. _Les Ballets Trockadero_ is a good example. We simply keep the rols of traditional choreographed ballets to perform them as they were created.
