for the reason the above didnt like it, i liked it. fast and show how to do it. i am familiar with tinkercad and learned several things that i will use. switching centerpoint or endpoint measurement was a super helpful lesson! thanks!

Any idea why the alignment didn't work around the 8 min mark lining up the cylinder and the upright? I recently had that problem in tinkercad I just kept hitting align and it slowy centered

I should not have locked the upright part. Instead, I should have selected both objects, clicked align, then clicked on the upright (to tell Tinkercad that I want to align the cylinder TO the upright), then clicked on the center circle of the alignment tool. If you just select both objects & click the center alignment circle, sometimes tinkercad moves both objects (which we didn't want in this case as the upright was set in its final position).

why not use the mirror function and just build the left half then... voila?

Well, I find it almost useless. It just shows how somebody knows how to do it. Everything goes to fast without explanation of each move. But it is nice to look.... Sorry!

I can see why you say that if you haven't watched any videos on how to use TinkerCAD. Yes he does go fast but nothing a pause and rewind can't assist with once you have the basics of the app under your belt.
