My eyes are giving me trouble making mine a challenge to use. As for the screw they do wear out. Thanks for your post!

I love using mine but I have one problem...I can't keep the screw from coming out of the wheel adjustment.....maybe locktite...lol

why do they have that recess on the caliper jaws, so there is a gap even when closed all the way......I can't find any use for it
