I kinda think it has to do with him throwing in the cassette in the beginning, giving it like that wavy, staticky sound as in this song is old. Either way the original sounds way cleaner and better.

Party's music was so crazy good back when it first came out and still holds up perfectly to this day. I remember being in highschool listening to him a decade ago and his music was already making me feel like I had memories of a longer life lived even back then so now it just keeps hittin harder as time goes on
