Parvaaz performed at my college (DA-IICT) this year. Trust me, these guys sound magical, especially live. They are underrated and deserve a better reach.

Views on this music video should be 338M not 338k It really feels sad when the likes of Guru Randhawa have views like that but rock songs of Parvaaz and other indie artists struggle to reach a wider audience.

@waseq shaaz Yeah, but they are doling well. They've done 2 Canada Mini Tours in past few years. Also, everytime they do a gig in cafe/pub it's always sold out. I hope they achieve bigger success and land more college gigs because their, youth connects with music and fan following is increased considerably. For eg. The Local Train has made a mark in the scene with hundreds of college gigs they've done in past 2-3 years. Now they are a big thing. They charge a heavy amount for the gigs in comparison to 3 years ago.

Parvaaz I DEMAND that you start releasing English translations. I have never felt so frustrated at not knowing what such beautiful music means, especially when everyone seems to be loving it. I sincerely love poetic music. PLEASE

Translating it would let the cat out of the bag. Anyone who knows Urdu would see that their lyrics are hardly coherent. And this song is still slightly better. Still, they are nice to sing along. And these people used to rock live. Bizarre. Music does work in mysterious ways.

Kar saki ye shaam kya = What could this evening do Kar saka ye jaam kya = what could this drink do Roz roz phir rha kyu tu be-parwah = Why are you roaming arond everyday in this carefree attitude the title of the song is Beparwah which means One who does not care about anything. If you like this (poor!!) translation I wil translate more ! But yes, the lyrics are not very coherent. Imagine Los Planetas' song in Spanish. Similar is Parvaaz in Urdu. Both are awesome though !

At first I wanted to know the lyrics too maybe because i wanted to be a perfectionist like they are. But the thing is the more you listen to them the less you'd want the lyrics because words are overrated make up your own words as you listen to the music also you can never get the whole song wrong because its a mixture of hindi and urdu and persian and arabic and whatnot. No one loves them like I love them. I am their biggest fan. Even a stan🤪.They taught me so much especially of all the evil things I said to them they'd still accept me with love and open arms. I just miss Kashif very much. 🧿🧿🧿

It has been 6 months now listening to you guys on Scloud. The pain and beauty through your lyrics is piercing and effective! . Im not an urdu specialist but the way the lyrics are I googled everything and trust me I was moved with the interpretation of Ghaib and Gul Gulshan ( gave me goosebumps ). Im a Floyd fanatic and now you have given me the music that I will listen to the rest of my life. Eagerly waiting to listen you guys live in Delhi.

Gul gulshans kashmiri part is written by Mehjoor,the nationalist poet of kashmir who in the poem urges kashmiris to restore the grandeur of kashmir and seek and fight for freedom from dogras,it is still relevant with india illegaly occupying kashmir

I am big fan of both the bands. Parvaaz for me is technically very strong whereas The local train kills with the simplicity in their compositions.

You have to check out Antariksh too. I feel The Local Train, Antariksh and Parvaaz are the 3 best Hindi Rock bands ever. All of them really unique in their styles.

Exactly! Parvaaz is technically better and have a very distinct vibe. Local Train has killed it with their second album. First album was a bit mehh. But my favourite has been Antariksh all these years. Their compositions are at another level technically and they sound so fresh even after all these years.

A few friends and I were totally blown away when we first watched Parvaaz at Indie March in Bangalore back in 2016. We didn't expect a band to be so good live. The bass solo is still pretty fresh in my memory. Don't miss the chance to watch them live if you ever get the opportunity.
