Pascal's law or the principle of transmission of fluid-pressure (also Pascal's Principle is a principle in fluid mechanics that states that a pressure change occurring anywhere in a confined incompressible fluid is transmitted throughout the fluid such that the same change occurs everywhere. The law was established by French mathematician Blaise Pascal.

Even though the force is increased, as you can see the distance moved in the right side is less than the left side. This is because the work done has to be equal as energy is not created or destroyed. Work done [J] = Force [N] x distance [m] in this case.

I normally don't struggle with physics but I was stuck here. Thanks for the help. Why I was stuck was because I thought it went against law of conservation of energy and newton's 3rd law. Thanks again.

I have a system of water circulation done by a water pump in a vacuum case, the inlet and outlet is 1 inch but after the water goes through the pump, it goes into a half inch pipe before exiting the outlet that is 1 inch, BUT with a flow rate of half what is going into the inlet. I dont understand why this is happening. So inlet is full of water (1 inch pipe) water goes into pump with vacuum, then exit going into a smaller pipe, then exit with a very small flow on the 1 inch outlet.

Did you understand it now? P=F/A, and P1=P2, so F1/A1=F2/A2. That is essentially what happened in the video.
