From Jesus sacrificial death comes eternal life for us all. He bore our iniquities and healed our diseases. Let us offer up our suffering, let what is unclean in us die away and be healed forever.
Do not tax those around you with abusive language and do not let them do thus unto you. Do not reside in your comfort and remain the same because following Jesus requires change. That means being brave and speaking the truth. Not fearing to upset those who still uphold ideals and teachings in opposition to Jesus and God's word. Inner duality brings out immediate rage from those regarded as quite proper and formal betraying their true nature and refusal to change. Growth and true change happen in a state of difficulty and duress. Hardship is an opportunity for betterment especially in those comfortable with the same old ways.
This same bravery means facing ways in yourself you've ignored to hide in a crowd. Nothing about me blends in. My presence in most spaces challenges ideals diametrically opposed to my existence. These same ideals are used to destroy Black women every day to insult and cram us into the smallest, least offensive version of ourselves. No more. This societal teaching and behavior sows the poison of doubt, inferiority and depression into us and that is precisely why it must be made clear how much we love and know ourselves defiantly, dynamically and unrelentingly. True Christians understand and embrace this.
Sweet water and bitter cannot flow from the same fountain
Jesus, be a healer for me the community I work in.
Amen.
