It's not yet clear what caused the windshield to crack at this time but experts say the aircraft was still considered safe.

Wow how ungrateful. At least you could’ve thanked the crew for putting everyone’s safety first and getting the plane landed without further incident. Yes there was some inconvenience but your alive today … it could’ve been worse.

The guy is almost crying and just complaining. How about being grateful that not more happened. Being grateful that the pilots did the right decision and landed safely.

Fun fact: The aircraft involved, N8701Q, was the very first 737 MAX 8 ever built and flown. I guess just something interesting for any other nerds out there.

Seriously, would you order they risk for the entire windshield exploding and everyone dying? Reach out to Southwest customer service send receipts 90% of the time, they will reimburse you.. stop being a Karen

Cracked windshield is not an emergency. It rarely happens. The Captain has the authority to turn back to land as a caution. No one was at risk.

Interesting this comes up right on heels of Hawaiian's computer problems. Too bad we gotta rely on flying interisland. Wish there was a ferry.....oh, nevermind.
