Faulty plane, Passenger walk out, 16 + hour delay and more. Here is a vlog about the last 48 hours of our holiday with P&O Arvia and Malethaero. No hotel accommodation offered, poor service from staff, untruths told. People slept on cardboad boxes they found in the recycling at the tiny airport in Antigua after being dumped there by the cruise line.

Dreadful customer service by P and O, we are booked on Arvia and supposed to fly with Maleth. I too will document our treatment. We were only advised about Maleth after full payment and after 90 days. P and O have an opportunity to change this for future customers; that will show whether they care or not.

I found this very interesting and thank you for the in-depth review. I was so close to booking with P&O but I've booked with marella instead. I will be documenting all of my trip also so let's hope it is smooth sailing for me 😂

We would never use P&O again. Royal Caribbean shines way above this mockery. Especially in the main restaurants.

I have been on approx 15 cruises with Marella and I do.t have a bad word to say about them. I am a solo traveller and their service to me is exemplary. @@TheTravelMunchers

Agreed, just back a week earlr from an Arvia cruise as they trashed my powered wheelchair, Customer Services as you say were a disgrace. As a final step we had the indignity of a Maleth aero flight.

Claim statatury compensation each passenger is due approx £520 each for the delay. Mechanical issues are not" exceptional circumstances"

We’ve claimed from the airline, so waiting to hear back. It was the treatment from P&O that was so bad though, so we really want an apology from them.

Wow this video is unbelievable 16 half hours!! Some terrible customer service as well…maleth and p&o really not getting great press at mo. Hope you ended up catching up on your sleep. Thanks for sharing

It wasn’t good and it was even worse for my elderly parents. We’re just so sad about the level of care from P&O.

This doesn’t bode well for my cruise in March on Arvia. At least we are only going one way with Maleth as we are sailing back to Southampton. We were on Iona a couple of years ago and it was a lovely cruise.

Sounds absolutely awful. We are going next year and will have till August to decide whether to forgo our deposit if they can’t guarantee a different airline. Currently supposed to have TUI

It was so bad. I wouldn’t advise anyone to travel with P&O while they are still using Maleth.

We had similar issue on 2nd December, filled in compensation form from maleth but been ignored since,certainly wont use them again

Also I got a good look at the captain when he was addressing passengers trying to leave. Shirt untucked, rude, looked panicked. If we weren’t already so delayed I would have demanded someone else I don’t think he was in the right mental state to be flying that plane.

It was a really horrible experience and one I never want to go through again. Won’t be booking with P&O again and will only fly with airlines I know have proper checking place.

I have cruised twice with P and O on Arvia,flew to Antigua last January with Virgin which was amazing.Have heard nothing but bad reports about Maleth.My sister flew back from Barbados with them in December and said she was scared with all the banging noises on plane and turbulence.If my flight is with Maleth next year to carribean I'm afraid to fly.It seems like the end of your holiday was ruined by this airline.P and O need to address urgently or customers will leave on mass.

we are the same our cruise is march 2025 we called p and o and told them of our concerns basically we where fobbed off our flight is saying tui but im afraid once we make our final payment it will be changed to maleth we said we wont fly with them they told us we can cancel then but we would loose 50% of our money so we would still loose out this is our first cruise on p/o it could possibly be our last too

TUI had the contract pulled from under them. P&O for many years used VS and BY. This season they decided that they didn’t want to pay for decent airlines, so cheaped out and shoved everyone on an ex Air Asia X a330 with Maleth Aero. It was Nothing to do with TUI

try getting stuck in a departure area at Izmir(old) overnight for 12 hours with few seats and nowhere to get food or water. that was sovereign 1st choice they also knew we weren't flying but just wanted to get rid of us

Horrendous. We met you on the St Kitts excursion to the beach club. We were on the plane that went down in Bermuda. It’s been horrendous, traumatic and never feared for our life before. We honestly thought we were going to die. We refused to board the Maleth plane back to the UK as we have no faith or confidence in their safety and booked BA ourselves. Completely missed Christmas with family. Never again P&O/Maleth.

Never do a fly cruise. Book your own flights. Yes it will cost more but you will have a peace of mind

Feel awful for you. You should have explained exactly what happened at the beginning. Even now we know you had a delay but not sure what you were told, etc!

They didn't lie. They tel passengers what they were told. They gave free food. It was the original airline that let everyone down? Would you use the original airline company?

Absolute disgrace I have never known this to happen on a cruise thats why i go on them but MSC Virtuosa worst cruise in October, I,m surprised at P and O these planes are a disgrace too 😑

I canceled over the Maleth debacle and lost 700 quid, after watching that video I feel like I have dodged a bullet, can you all make sure you submit a trustpilot review , let's see how low we can get p&o trust pilot score.

What a way to be treated. I’m so sorry. P & O treat their customers with such contempt, it’s absolutely disgusting. They deliberately lied and it’s awful. What an apt song in the atrium. I hope you’re getting over your experience and get answers from them. Antiqua airport has changed, it was a shack when I was there.

I was one of those who got off , p&o really let everybody down with how they handled the delays , kept us onboard for so long , left us in that empty airport , then that pilot & plane it was an utter nightmare - they also left our luggage onboard which is illegal - awful from maleth would’ve expected better from p&o have rang & complained but nobody will listen -

I have done many cruises with P&O and never ever had problems. However, if you do fly cruises you are very likely to get delays and problems like this, which you won't get when cruising from Southampton. So I wouldn't tar all P&O cruises with the same brush. Unfortunately Tui let them down at the last minute and they had no option but to go with Maleth, which has been problematic.

I thought there was some legislation whereby they had to know who's in what seat in case there's an accident. They look like total cowboys, but I'd rather they didn't rush and do things properly

Not sure about the legislation, but this seems to be happening regularly with this airline. It’s so bad.
