"Life's for the living so live it or you better off dead"...this line has a very deep meaning so I suggest everyone to live their life happily even though there are times when things gets difficult...always remember this line or song.

I know it's probably not how it's meant but as someone who's struggled with mental health at times it felt like he was saying: don't be depressed, just be happy. If it was that easy, no one would suffer. It's a thought some people have, and a narrative in society that made me feel blamed and ashamed for not enjoying my privileges and good things in life. I have since found the meaning: go out and do what you need to do to regardless of your insecurities. If you don't try you'll fail by default. More of a push yourself to new boundries, rather than 'just enjoy the good things you have'. Please don't take this the wrong way but this sentence always felt a little ambiguous and problematic to me. I have a hard time understanding what he exactly means.

Honestly thought this beautiful song couldn't be improved, but this is amazingly beautiful, fresh, and just perfect. I saw Passenger in Melbourne a year ago, just after running my first Half Marathon. He was exactly what I needed, and have been living life to the absolute fullest ever since. ❤

This song saved my life. When my grandmother was going through the dying process, I listened to this song over and over to cope with my grief. I could hear her in the next room gasping for air and there was nothing I could do to help her. I wanted to go with her. This song was the only thing that kept me here.

I love the small lyric changes in this version. "Stumbled down" was changed to "drifted down." I feel like when this song was sung it showed the journey from when it was first released. In 'All the Little Lights' we were discovering the meaning of Life's for the living, but now we repeat the same steps to remind ourselves of that truth. One of my favorite songs for sure. Thank you for sharing this new release.

The whole "all the little lights" album and this song in particular changed a lot for me. They made me learn to play the guitar and encouraged me to write my own songs. I think it's probably the best song in the world for me personally. It's timeless and so incredible. It can speak to people in so many ways, when I need to cry, but can't because I feel so many emotions at once, I put it on - I've not known anyone listen to it and not LOVE it! Played with the orchestra is just wow, even if you took all the music away and just had Mike's voice - still WOW. This particular song Life's for living, is so sad, because I want to live, but CPTSD and panic disorder prevents me from living my dreams - Trauma isn't kind to the mind nor the body and like someone said in these comments, reach out to someone you trust.
