I had to because i took my doctorate and studied photography on top of working full time job and 2 parttime jobs, but it would've been shorter if i didn't need to do anything else.

Just started. And I can definitely relate to being shattered by Hören. Just tried a few practice tests some days ago and failed almost all. I was shocked cause I prided myself in the past in being a good listener in German language. It threw me off guard and shattered me to tears. Same with Lesen like you. I have my exam in 5 weeks, so I’m hoping I can figure myself out before then. I think what’s scary about Lesen and Hören is the fact that you could understand 90% of the sentence or statement, and just the 10 percent you missed makes you wrong, no in between

And the answer in the choices are worded differently that what is it in the material, so that makes it extra tricky. It's either paraphrased or they used synonyms. Marking the keywords helped me a lot. Good luck with your review and just power through it. Tears may fall but never back down!!!!

But for now, try to look into Readlang! It's an extension on Chrome, helps translate words, tracks words and makes them into a flashcard for review and best part - FREE!!!

I can definitely relate to having a hard time being able to dedicate one's time to language learning when you have a life outside of that!!! Hi! hope you are well. new here, glad i found this video. i wanted to ask you what resources what you recommend for studying German, ive been doing it for around 7 years now yet i still face issues w genders etc & if i start another language i mix the concepts. what would you recommend?

I believe simplifying your study routine would work. Stick with 1 workbook and 1 grammar book and just do that until you finish it. Try to focus on learning German to make progress because throwing in another language to the mix can decrease your concentration and ability to fix grammar mistakes and remember vocabs. But this is just how I view things, I suck at multitasking and just believe in simple routines, doing 1 task at a time. But honestly, if you still feel like everything is overwhelming, get you a personal coach/teacher. Mine helped me sort out what I need to do since I got overwhelmed when I was in the middle of A2-B1 level, especially since I was having long breaks. Yes, they will give a specific topic. 😊 The prep time I think is 15 mins for Teil 1 and 2 combined.

If you get the review books (especially so geht's) I mentioned, it is included there. It's actually a broad topic since you can be asked about various things like Schönheit, Umweltschutz, Freiwilliges soziales Jahr, Reisen, usw...

hello!! how much time did it get u personally to go from A1 to B2? i started A1 and i wanna do till B2 and i wanna score „sehr gut“ on it in june 2025, can that be achievable? thank you :)

Super achievable but of course, YOU will be a big factor in this. I started A1 on 2017, was crawling through A2-B1 on 2018-2021 because I had to study for my doctorate and photography. I powered through B1-B2 from June 2022 to August 2023 with 1 full time job and 2 part time jobs. I’ve read somewhere that it will take you less than 2 years to get to B2 from scratch if that’s all you’re doing. Like just tunnel vision on learning German and minimize other activities. Honestly, I would’ve wanted that schedule but my life said nope… 😅 Good luck you have more than enough time! Just be dedicated and persistent. ✨

May 2023-August 2023, I work fulltime plus 2 parttime jobs so it took longer but that's just the prep excluding finishing the lessons to get to B2

Do we need to practice specific B2 vocabulary for cracking the exam or is it okay if we go with the flow like what comes in our mind be it a low level vocabs. Please let me know i have a exam in next month. Also can we able to prepare Goethe exam B2 in one month if we did intensively?

You need the b2 level vocabs for the entire exam. Some parts can throw you off if you don’t understand them (reading and listening) especially on the multiple choices on listening. Having higher vocabulary can also help with having higher points on writing and speaking. I believe my reading score was low because there were words I did not understand and it was so hard to even get the meaning out of context since several consecutive phrases were unfamiliar to me. If you go through the books I mentioned, you will be naturally be exposed to B2 vocabs. Any B2 reviewer does the same thing as well. I’m not sure if 1 month prep is enough, I think it depends on several factors. For a busy person, like me, I needed more time. My teacher though gave me idea how long to prepare but I felt like it was still not enough (I prepped for like 3 months). I’m sorry I cannot answer this one directly, since I never really believed in rushing things and overexerting my brain. My goal was to ensure I am at B2 level and not just have passing scores. To me, passing B2 level is a life skill I needed, and not a requirement to fulfill, so that mindset changed the game for me. Don’t get complacent, good luck! 👍

Make sure you gather all the resources you need, make a calendar to plot your study times and what you will be studying, follow through that plan. Since you only have 3 weeks, you should be just doing mock exams everyday now...

Hello. 😊 That scary feeling of taking an exam is always going to be there. I cried so many times during my exam prep. But you know what, I just thought that the exam could give me a good measure on what I should improve on, although an expensive one. So I went through the prep thinking I have to do my best (because it costs a lot for me), and if I get an unsatisfactory result, then that is just data that I can use to improve on my skills. (But I will definitely cry first lol) If you do need more time to study, because you have a lot more lessons to cover or skills to improve, but you know you will put effort into studying, then you can decide to delay your exam. But if you are just letting yourself be swallowed by the fear of the exam, yet you know your language skills are there, then you might be missing out on knowing how much your language skills have improved and actually taking a step into reaching your goal. Whatever you decide, know that your goal is your Ausbildung. Only YOU can make it happen. 😊
