So pretty 😍. If you want more lacing, try blowing the streaked parts straight on with a straw. I got some awesome lacing using that technique on a cup.

The white is basically white acrylic paint and alcohol. You might be about to add a couple drops at a time or alcohol and it might help with the clumpyness

Hi Lynne, Thank you☺️. I've done both. But, it was before I started my channel. I would be happy to include them in future videos though. You've got a little time for your shoulder to heal, before you can get back into it. But, you've got a standing couple of videos coming, once you're up to it.☺️🌺🐭

Hi Sandi, thank you so much! I look forward to that! I'm soo ready to get back in the swing of things! I'm a very active person and being down like this is driving me crazy! I'm very lucky it was my left shoulder instead of the right! Always something to be grateful for. ❤️If it's not healed soon I'm gonna have to start working one handed to keep my sanity! 😂😂😂 Have a great day! ☀️🌻🌞

Looks Great. How did you not get dry spots. I'm just starting out at this and I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong
@sandisshedhouse4741
@sandisshedhouse4741 Жыл бұрын
Thank you, Archie. The dry spots, many times, are a result of too little epoxy on the cup. I also like to let my epoxy set a little while before I apply ink. This isn't fool proof, but I've had better luck using these rules of thumb. Best wishes And happy creating. 😊🐭☃️
@xamatox
@xamatox 2 жыл бұрын
What does it mean when the ink breaks through the epoxy? I hear you say it in the video… also, I have tried many of these and they come wavy???? What am I doing wrong? Also you said, at the end of the video you used and ink to “finish” the epoxy, what does that mean? BTW, you are incredibly talented and thank you for your time in sharing it with us.
@sandisshedhouse4741
@sandisshedhouse4741 2 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome. **When your inks break through the resin, it's typically due to your resin being too thin. The alcohol ink is able to push through. *** I have found that swirls happen when the resin is too warm and moves too freely. Less heat slows the flow. Try not to worry about the bubbles so much. The alcohol, in alcohol ink will usually handle the micro bubbles. I try to be a bit more deliberate when placing my inks. That way it's not all over the cup. **** The ink in the resin at the end was Marabu Rainbow alcohol ink, just for a little shimmer. I hope this helps. ☺️🌺🐭

How do u like the marine epoxy? I’m on my 4th cup, I’ve been heating my epoxy with a blow dryer to help the bubbles and thin out the application- is this right to do?
@sandisshedhouse4741
@sandisshedhouse4741 Жыл бұрын
I have used several different epoxies. Pro Marine has been with me for 4 yrs and I have never had an issue with it. I use other brands for different applications. You can use a blow dryer, but most don't heat enough with a low fan. If you have a dollar general, you might buy a small lighter/torch and try that. Or a heat gun works too. But, if the hair dryer is working for you, who's gonna tell you no? I use a torch or heat gun, depending on technique. You're going to go through many changes as you get into this money pit we call tumblers😅😅. Be creative, there are no such things as rules, in art. One person's way of doing things, isn't necessarily someone else's. Have fun and hope to see you in my comments, in the future.😊🐭🎄

@sandisshedhouse4741

My cricut collects dust between uses. I am not a fan. It's a last resort for anything tumbler related. I'd rather hand paint, than print and cut or cut in general. 😊🐭🎄

Anyone ever try to add the white first?....then the colors so you can see better? Just wondering, I haven't tried this yet.
@sandisshedhouse4741
@sandisshedhouse4741 Жыл бұрын
Great question. White tends to be heavier and, therefore, drops straight through the epoxy, leaving fish eyes. If you mix the White with epoxy first, you've got a good chance with it. Just my experience. Let me know if you have success with it.
