I love how he holds the water hose to imitate rain at 1:11-1:14. Romantic and funny.

Many years ago when this song was new a girl I were dating said this was our song. Since we always fought and blah blah blah. At one point we were drunk and walking home and she told me she didn’t love me. We continued to date for a long period of time. It reminds me of the part where he says to his girl, “You Make Me Sick.” Once you say certain things in a relationship, no matter how hard you try, some things can not be unsaid.

whoever wrote the storyboard, and whoever directed this are absolute geniuses....

The last moments of the video, where he said she makes him sick and she's holding the words...that is a perfect visualization of how it feels when someone you love says something so hurtful.

I'll never look at this song the same way again, knowing it's actually about a couple struggling to keep their relationship stable. It's so HAPPY, right?

7 years ago I wouldn't understand the real meaning of this video, I thought it was just an artistic music video. But now, I feel like this video captures what a long term relationship would look like irl, it's not always red roses and sometimes you get carried away, but if you want to stick with that person, eventually you'd stay and moving forward anyway :)

sometimes we get carried away by the things we say when we're stressed out. We don't really mean it; The words just come out, and most of the time, it's hurtful. There's nothing wrong with the relationship, it's normal to feel insecure or lost at times. It's the understanding and communication that it's important. The courage to come up to tell someone how you really feel, and then you work it out. Sometimes it takes a mental breakdown or fight to really see the light in things. love is everywhere, but most importantly, it's inside you :)

Still after all these years this song gets me. I can be very reactionary at times with my wife in things I say, never anything extreme or abusive just snappy. I can definitely get carried away and immediately feel remorse because I love her so much. I have apologized many times over the years and gotten better about it but still something I continue to work on. This song literally brings tears to my eyes because most people tell me I am far too hard on myself because I question everything I say. Wow this video had me crying at the end. It really captures the volatility of a long-term relationship. When you start fighting and getting angrier and angrier at each other until you say something you regret. You imagine life without them and then whatever you were fighting about suddenly seems so stupid and you wish you could take it all back, but you can't. Getting through those moments are some of the most painful and beautiful parts of life.
