20:20 from what I can unfortunately remember from the book, (TW) he considers himself a murderer because the mother of his child started miscarrying for some reason (don’t remember if it was durgs related or not) and yes, he was so high he only discovered her after she had lost lots of blood and it was too late to save the mom and the baby at the hospital - again, don’t quote me on the details. very traumatised by that tragedy he promised to always provide for his ex, tattoo a huge dragon on his chest with the name of the late child inside of it and had a vasectomy to never pass on his genes since he hates himself so much and his bio dad, besides being loaded and transmitting Gabriel his fortune after he passed away, was a POS too according to him.

My own theory has always been: If you can't wrap it up by the 5th season, you're doing something wrong. I’m pretty sure the lead getting bit and the “I took an innocent life” scenes were both plot points that the writer forgot to change from when it was a Twilight parody. 😅

The whole "they were in love many years ago but he doesn't remember her" thing is so baffling to me. If this is based on a Twilight fanfic, I could actually understand it better if SHE didn't remember HIM, rather than the other way around. Like if Gabriel was an immortal vampire, it would make sense if they had met and fallen in love in her past life, and now he's meeting her again in the present day but it's like a reincarnated version of her and she is inexplicably drawn to him even though she can't remember meeting him. That would be a lot less insulting than "one of us doesn't remember our super romantic hookup because of drugs and alcohol abuse."

I just realised the plot lines that kennie described as incomplete. Is the fanfiction parallels of when James attacks Bella and bites her. And when Charlie doesn't get along with Edward. And I think the author just didn't know what to do with it after, because that would require original thoughts.

them introducing the brother out of nowhere and then him just disappearing is ABSOLUTELY a symptom of this story's fanfiction origin. like if you're reading an AU twilight fanfiction and Emmet, for example, comes fuck all out of nowhere, you don't need to have it explained who he is or what connection he has to the characters because you already know him from reading/watching twilight. the author doesn't need to explain who he is so he doesn't, and I guess he forgot to change that when he turned the fanfic into a fucking book??

im so mad, bc all of these plot points could have been interwoven *SO WELL* (particularly the creepy ex's RP/fathers inability to protect/dating mom of roommate who cheated w the ex) but they didnt care, like they were just doing a bullet point list of the plot's drama?? ngl definitely makes me think about Kennie's money laundering theory

I saw Mortal Instruments in theaters and I remember having the strongest urge to walk out when Lily Colin’s made a dog joke to one of the werewolves but I didn’t because I didn’t feel like getting up. Also, the dude that played the main villain made it semi-watchable for me.

I'm scared to watch Mortal Instruments because I actually like the books and I don't want the movie to ruin it for me. The TV show was okay but it didn't stick to the storyline. I think she should review The Lightning Thief, too.

Another trilogy down! Damn, Kennie is covering a lot of ground! Can't wait to see what she takes on next It's really such a shame bad movie reviewers are ignoring Passionflix. It's like Lifetime or Hallmark meets Cinemax and it's just horrible and it's amazing Twilight Trope #366: Only the romantic hero is allowed to rescue the heroine Twilight Trope #45: The hero and villain are basically the same person Twilight trope #170: there are no overarching villains that stay from book 1 to the end and conflict is extremely easily resolved Twilight trope: #220: Hero feels guilty about vague thing in past that wasn't his fault #221: "You're a great person, horrible person!" "MY PTSD IS OVER!" #16: the entire series is building up to sex #23: all the supporting characters will be dropped as soon as their plot function is over "We finally beat her virginity!" That is such a teen thing. Virginity is the final boss!

i would like to bring up a series i've watched on tv with my mom recently its called "flowers in the attic" and omg it was such an entertaining and disgusting mess we literally agreed to never tell anyone we know that we watched that shit XD it has every trigger warning one could think of and it keeps getting weirder and weirder i'd love to see your reaction on it !

I remember when I was living in Korea and went to a noraebang with my classmates and I was on painkillers and my arm on a sling and I was singing this song and decided to do the MVP thing WITH my injured hand and..there was a collective groan of like secondary pain from everyone.

The twenty-minute sex scene reminds me of the time I was reading a fanfic wherein 4+ chapters were all just a continuation of the same sex scene. I say 4+ because it might have gone on longer, but I gave up after 4 because I had no idea when the sex scene (still just one encounter going on for over four chapters!) would end and no plot was worth going through that again.

This definitely feels like a serially published fanfiction. The author has an idea, and the first part is just telling that idea, and then they run out of stuff to do but they don’t want to end it, so wild stuff happens out of nowhere and they forget to resolve it.
