Carol: "have you met John Daily?" Great "What's my Line" reference to the host known for convoluted, yet very precise, explanations

These are great. I can't believe these have been on youtube all these years and I'm just finding them. I am a HUGE Carol Burnett fan. I like that this episode Carol and the contestant are winning because the other contestant isn't getting the clues this time and it helps Carol and Carolyn to figure it out like what was happening for Roger on a previous episode.

This is amazing watching Password in color. The clarity is incredible. Back in 1966 I was 6 watching this in distorted vertical hold on the blink black and white !

That was hilarious when Allen Ludden was explaining to Carol Burnett why "grandfather" can be a clue for "grandmother," but "impure" cannot be used for "pure" and Carol Burnett said "have you met John Daly?" 😉 Lol.

I’ve never understood that “Grandfather/Grandmother” rule. “Grand” is contained in both words yet each word is allowed as a clue for the other.

When you syndicate say on Nick at Night, you have to pay for the content by selling new commercials. Old commercials won't repay and were never intended to be shown in syndication.

Out of curiosity, did you miss the first segment, or did GSN simply not air it? I have a copy of this episode from the trading circuit, and it too is missing the first segment.
