People need to respect that and not think it is odd. Not everyone needs to be married just to be married or to live a full happy life.

I was responding to what seemed like a ridiculous statement, on it's face, of ". . . she was 50+ and why would she want to marry again?" I just thought that a general statement like that was ignorant and disrespectful. Something a young, superficial person would say, not understanding the true value of life, and of love.🙂

Oh Sonya, what a lovely thought, and she wanted to be with him to celebrate her 100th too....what a classy and adorable couple, I admired them as a young adult....Password help me with my vocabulary and Allen's explaining certain words and talking about English(he was a school teacher for a while)helped me a great deal....and I thought he was so cute!

I think things were the same celebrities did things more privately because they had to keep up a certain image. Women always were dressed nice, faces had make up and hair was always in place. Also it wasn't all this social media you're able to find out people's personal information nowadays!!

The end of a fabulous run. Betty’s face shows her sadness that this was the final episode of the CBS run. While it would return on ABC a few years later and from Los Angeles, they didn’t know it then. Allen Ludden’s class and charm, Betty’s talent and grace and Lee’s brilliant skill as announcer were an unbeatable combination. Now they are all together and I hope, playing Password in the heavens.

After watching a few players I think Betty White was the best...she gives the best words and is so quick. Also charming and lovely to her partners. It's so nice to see how gentlemanly the men are...always rising for the ladies. As a person from traditional Eastern country where these graces are still practiced, it is nice to still see them in old Western society (sadly rarer to see in today's west)

Her comment about game shows are a great place to meet a husband deeply touched me because that's where she met the love of her life Allen who were married for eighteen years of bliss! Allen was incorrect when he said that the word "transparent" is "'precisely what opaque means". Transparent is the opposite of what opaque means. Unusual for Allen to make a mistake.

Farewell is an appropriate Password to use since it was the series finalie. It's too bad we can't see the very first episode of Password from 1961. If we want to see daytime Password in it's black & white form including the debut episode, it's best to contact WCBS Ch. 2 New York so we can see them on Buzzr.

I watched this game back then, when I was a child. Usually watched it in summers, otherwise I was in school. I liked the deep voice that announced each word. The 1980s version did not have that voice.

Betty White was a real jewel on the tv game shows. Frank Gifford was not only a great broadcaster on Monday night football ( on ABC in the 1970's, 80's, and 90's: plus in the early 2000's), but also a wonderful game show player. I miss them both.
