The Paradox Pokemon is one of the coolest concepts in the series, I haven't been this invested in Pokemon lore since Gen 5, and yet I want more! Here's to the DLC when it drops and answers our questions.

On the whole no fossil records of “past” Paradox Pokémon existing thing, there is a chance that the “time periods” might actually be swapped between the game versions. Dino looking Pokémon = Post Apocalyptic ; Cyborg Pokémon = Ancient Atlantean like civilization.

I always head canon that the head crest and "capes" on the 3 legendary beast were the main thing while the body was interchangeable, whether it be a body of a mammal or reptile.

3:50 I'm pretty sure the roaming fossil Pokemon of galar are actuality the result of modern technology reintroducing them to the environment. At that point it's been several decades since the technology was introduced

There was a pokeball looking space junk teased in the teaser before the official trailer reveal. It’s not a stretch to think that astronomy and fossil Pokémon could be in the next academy lessons.

Also worth noting that the mons who have past paradox forms based on a first stage evolution (excluding babies) are moon stone evolutions. Both Jigglypuff and Misdreavus could have looked like that in the past long before Clefairy and the moon stones came to earth and exposed them, causing them to evolve into Wigglytuff and Mismagius respectively. So that would fit into a timeline.

After playing both games, I'm convinced they're from an alternate from alternate universes. One where human are bominant and the other humans are dominant. It's like mixing jurassic world with terminator.

Didn’t the Scarlet and Violet books talk about an imaginary Pokémon being created? Maybe the reason they’re called paradox is because they never existed to begin with. They weren’t past or future versions of Pokémon. They’re brand new imaginary that we’re created by something or someone.

I like how you talked about Dormant Genes. Have you ever watched the Episode Genesis In Star Trek TNG where some mysterious Airborne virus causes the Crew to devolve by activating those dormant genes?

i forgot where i heard this but there was a theory that the past paradox pokemon are actually pokemon from the future that have evolved back into a wild state after humans are gone for some reason. and that the future paradox pokemon are actually from the past, maybe weapons made by an ancient super advanced civilization.

To me the biggest Oddity is that all the past paradox pokemon are genderless. Sure you can explain away future ones as being robots/cyborgs, but for the past paradox pokemon aside from Magnaton/sandy shocks, they all have genders and should have had genders in the past. Other similar but less odious oddities include lack of evolution/pre evolution, which is forgivable since they could have gained/lost them and their universally high stats. And yet I find it highly unlikely for these pokemon to be truly "imaginary" if only for the fact that pokemon will likely want to re-release these pokemon for a later game, and them being imaginary, at least in the same sense of Movie 3 (the one with Entei and the unown) would likely interfere with that. As for the origin of paradox pokemon as a whole, My personal idea is thy came from alternate timelines that now can never be due to the meteor that created area zero. IE- Had the meteor that created area zero had never hit, those pokemon both past and future may have come to be, but the meteor rendered those circumstances impossible, but yet that very meteor draws them to this timeline, further creating a paradox. Also minor fact- past paradox pokemon not being in the fossil record can easily be explained away by pointing out that the fossil record is incomplete.

In regards to Walking Wake, Pokemon lore never confirmed what Pokemon Suicune Entei and Raikou originally were so no real lore break

I’m convinced the Pokemon world is just vastly different from the real world. In more than just the obvious ways.

I was thinking it would be interesting if there were some alternate universe where paradox pokemon were the norm, and the pokemon we have in our world so to speak would be considered wierd. It makes you wonder how many of those paradox pokemon exist, and to what extent that we don't know of yet? Maybe they come from ultra space or some other wierd dimension or alternate plane of existence? I'd like to see that kind of world and how it would take shape/ affect the environment, etc.

seeing that none of the paradpx pokemon can breed or evolve, as many of their counterparts can, perhaps they are all cloned chiemras, and from the same period, kind of like real animals (ligers, zorses etc...) if you look at the pool of types for all paradoxes, with the exception of the legendary ones, a paradox could give their type and some attributes to the forms. most of them cover each other in some way, swapping out a secondary type for another in the pool. A lot of them have elements that could be the typing and characteristics of the less dominant splicing. but maybe not. Like Iron moth's back (it takes a poison type from say amoongus) when the wings close resemeble a sun, but also a pokeball. They all may have more than one element in the centrifuge though. IDK.

Waking wake is personally for me my favorite paradox pokemon it's protosynthasis combined with hydro stream is so powerful but I have a question should we consider the past paradox pokemon invasive species since they are from our world and not space can we really consider them invasive I personally believe more research is required in order to make a logical decision on what to do about them so I recommend that we gather as much information as possible anyways my apologies for the long comment everyone and as always I hope everyone has a long and happy life and I wish you all prosperity

You're taking the timeline as a linear line and not taking into account the word paradox. A paradox is something that should not exist, a contradiction. A temporal paradox or time paradox is a contradiction based on time/time travel and can result from such events. My thoughts are that the paradox pokemon are the result of the creation of a time paradox made by the researchers going into the past and tampering with the pokemon or introducing something to them that completely changes their evolution line.

Only struggle I have with area zero is Did the crystal pokemon shield the center? Referring to old pokemon surviving in only that area. Impact and shield ?

I like your theory, but I cannot agree with you. The fact that there are no fossil pokemon in Area Zero feels very deliberate to me, and while maybe it was just there because what would their counterparts in violet be, it's still a detail I cannot easily overlook. You also mention that each paradox pokemon can have a line drawn between them and our modern-day pokemon, but that's the problem for me. The past paradox pokemon are based on dinosaurs, which lived anywhere from 65 million years ago to 230 million years ago. I cannot believe for a moment that in at minimum 65 million years there are similar differences as yanmega and yanma. And that's considering that dragonflies are some of the least changed species over the years. Although it is technically possible, I do not think it is likely that Donphan, Jigglypuff, Magneton, and Misdrevious all barely changed over 65 million years. Amoongus being a mushroom, Volcarona being a moth, and Salamence being an apex predator make them more believable, but still doubtful. And speaking of Amoongus: mushrooms and dinosaurs are about as separate as two species can be, so how can Brute Bonnet exist. And while Foongus's pokedex entry says that the creator of the modern Pokeball may have based the design on Foongus, it is simply absurd to believe that such a pattern could've been on their heads and hands for millions of years despite serving no purpose. As a bonus detail, every past paradox Pokemon has eyeshadow, and either has a mohawk or some other kind of punk-like hair. To believe that these are things that naturally appeared on every ancient Pokemon the time machine grabbed, and not on a single species that it didn't is statistically unlikely. Another thing you mention is how Tropius is a dinosaur-like Pokemon, but Pokemon has always made a distinction between Pokemon based on ancient animals and Pokemon that are ancient, and the only distinction the past paradox Pokemon has is an NPC saying how the time machine works. The fossil Pokemon are clearly based on specific ancient creatures and have barely any connection to modern-day pokemon aside from generally evolving towards the modern day (see Archeop's ultra moon dex entry). Also it may just be me, but your explanations for Walking Wake resembling Suicune and Roaring Moon resembling Mega Salamence feels like grasping at straws.

ok my question is if it took these pokemon 1000s of years to get into the modern one we have now.. and pokemon being a game about evolution etc.. why can we see pokemon evolve in front of us but this happened over 1000s of years?

And poke-rus able to change state mutated able change moves maybe terapagos experiment with energy by unlock like only 💧 types and locking the rest into able to change typing?
