WIldlife management decisions should never be left to a public vote. Wildlife Biologists should be making those decisions based on science and not the public's emotionally motivated votes.

Science has nothing to do with it ! And the only reason Colorado is getting wolves is public outcry It’s all about pressure , and the good ol dollar And the state of Colorado is about to find out how expensive wolves are to keep

Wow… you might want to research a wee bit more… unless you have hooves, I bet you will be rather safe out there with ENDANGERED species, such as the sacred wolf. Try not to be such a whiny bitter city boy. Get an education.. the more you know and all that…

You are just as likely to be eaten by bears and mountain lions as you are wolves this adds little to no additional dangers to mountain biking than what was already present

As a rancher i am against this they need to be released where the people voted for this . I am not going to be so willing to be a partner with the divison of wildlife. When mountain lions first killed my kids 4 H lambs the divison of wildlife paid for them as it continued to happen for some reason the kills were no longer lion kills although when skinned out they looked like the first ones. Oh well, what do you do hard to fight the government, or those in power.

Well rancher perhaps you should take measures to protect your livestock from predators. Guard dogs (which have been used for by humans to protect against wolves and other predators ever since we domesticated the wolf), razor wire, electric fencing, fladry. If you are doing any of these you are failing somewhere

For the record elk numbers have gone up in Montana from 1990-2018 when wolves where reintroduced. Harvest went up for deer and elk since then as well. Habitat conservation affects ungulate numbers much more than wolves. Simple low ungulates low wolf population.

@@codymiller8528 well wolves also manage themselves. That’s why Yellowstone is pretty stable, they kill each other if food is scarce for territory. Wolves only need to be managed up here because of endangered woodland caribou. Linear disturbance creates habitat for deer and moose while also provides access to caribou habitat. So it’s really a industry issue that scape goats wolves

@@codymiller8528 again I want to know what species it was, Mexican wolf and gray wolf are the same (Canis lupis). These wolves would have been related to glacier national park wolves a much shorter distance than Mexico. Wolves have different subspecies but it’s more related to climate and food. The arctic wolves are the smallest to prevent heat loss, meaning smaller legs muzzles and other body parts. These are the same wolves still Canis lupis. All gray wolves. I’m open to learning so through a different species (scientific names only). Again the wolves reintroduce would be similar to those in northern Montana and southern Montana before extermination
