Just for your information: palm trees have fronds, not leaves; each frond grows from the center and they do not have branches. Each frond is very large and the edges split as they grow to form what appear smaller leaves. Palms trees also grow a lot straighter than they are usually depicted.

The scene looks very nice. Good job on the fronds however you neglected to indicate the growth texture of the tree trunk. Maybe I can't see it properly in the video but how do you get such even texture with your gesso? Whenever I brush on gesso I get these horrible brush marks which show up in the drawing. I've tried mini foam rollers and sponges but still cannot get good results that look like sandpaper. I've even tried sanding the surface to remove the brush marks but it removes too much gesso. What is your secret? I used liquitex gesso. It is quite expensive in Canada. Wasted my money. I think I prefer real sandpaper.

Is your eraser is just a white pastel pencil? (I love this how you teach and its beautiful, I just purchased pastels because of you lol, couldn't resist)
