@two386

@BostonBakedBeans But is Jesus the ONE we are supposed to follow..? He is teaching how to get caught up in the excitement of the Flesh... Jesus said don't be like the Pharisees... because they do things to be praise by men.. This is what this person is teaching.. Hopefully he has not doing this.. since this is an old video... But if he has not... let those who listen to him... Lineup what he say... with the Word.. Now i will tell you that what he is teaching don't lineup, but you read it for yourself...

Problem is musicians don’t want to follow the spirit. Gems that this pastor is dropping are very spiritual in nature. He’s actually teaching obedience, which is greatly needed amongst black church musicians. Masterful musicians understand how to follow the preacher in the spirit and not lead. Masterful teaching

Wow. I appreciate this so much! This is generally great advice! Alot of church musicians have NOT gone to school and play by ear or play by how it feels (like I did alot before I went school to learn vocal and instrumental music). I leaned that even when playing by ear/feel, there is theory for everything, even if you are unlearned and don't even understand what you're doing in the moment. Like he said, record, go back and WATCH to take notes and improve your skills BUT ALWAYS remain sensitive to the holy spirit and be a student of the preacher, learning how to follow properly..

Perfect example of how people practice performing pulpit pimping. So many of these preachers master the art of performing a act of praise to invoke peoples emotions in exchange for your devotion. Facts, I was a church musician, director, vocalist for about 30 years, from the small hometown church, to a major u.s. university, to performing in venues with John P. Kee, Hezekiah Walker, Richard Smallwood, Commissioned and other gospel greats. At the church level, sometimes alot was on the performance tip, there were cues for shouting, playing emotion invoking chords and song all for good pay. Just truth. My gift has been reduced through stroke, but I know its the Most High's will, that I earnestly praise Him. Give me Word now. HalleluYAH.

Not every message has to turn up as far as I'm concerned. I'm not there for a party. If the moment strikes, then go for it. If you are passionate about it and it comes, then do it. It don't really make sense to me that you always going 100 mph. Some messages are somber. Some are electric. Everyone turns into a redemption shout fest? Eh...seems forced.

Can I VENT? This is a long post. You might want to skip ahead. My personal observations have noted that in most churches the musicians hang out on Saturday night and they sit in their Godly musician seat on Sunday. Most of them get high on the low. A lot of em' are on the down low. While the others got babies everywhere. Ain't the pulpit supposed to be holy? Ain't it an alter before the allmighty. When the preacher gets up to preach the musicians make their way to the back of the church. Usually only the organist remains. Most musicians are paid which is ok, the need smoke money and child support. They clearly are not saved. Once the preacher gets going the organist comes alive and musicians come back out the woodwork and slide into their Godly musician seats. How many times have we heard the drummer hit a riff and before you know it, everybody is shouting. Or the organist can hit a chord hold it and pat the bass keys and get that shouting music going. I have watched musicians intentionally initiate shout mode music. In particular I have noticed the drums, conjure spiritual vibes. Much like the ones seem in Voo Doo ceramonies. The musicians are clearly controlling this 'church spirit'. As an adult I am realizing this holy ghost is about as real as Casper the ghost. Ain't nothing saved about these people. Let's all see Sunday performance for what it is. Theatrics, pure Black Theatre wrapped in a thing called Theology. They playing with your emotions. Music will give you emotional feelings. If you listen close the instructor is teaching entertainment antics. The same way the music director controls the music at a baseball game. Everything is about timing of the music. This is orchestrated. Playing the right music, at the right time, that strokes our emotion. I do not need music to root for my team. Ooh, but let my team have the ball in the last few seconds of the game and the music simply elevates the emotion of everyone rooting for them. Which is why broke saints willingly give up a 25 dollar offering on Sunday and are broke on Wednesday. Emotion. Over and over same thing same non result. Come as you are ain't a $300.00 pair of shoes. Or sister is these ten gallon bucket hats. Church is the club. And most musicians do infact slide in secular music in a service, like Beyonce. Who by the way couldn't hold a tune if it had handles. Ain't nothing saved about Michelle from destiny's child. These gospel singers are artist out here trying to get paid. Michelle's life is all over the place. Much like this video. Listen close and this instructor tells you to play into the crowd. Priorities screwed. Instead of paying at the club door. Church invites in the well dressed. Church smiles and then taxes you somewhere along the way. Pastors offering, Sunday offering, tithes, anniversary offering, birthday offering. And we can't forget the building fund. That builds your pastors pockets. Can't knowbody balance a check book, knowbody owns their home outright, knowbody has a degree. But they all scream no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Trying to stay out of hell. All I can say at this point. All y'all need to go sit down somewhere. If the spirit is truelly leading a service, then why is man's effort and hand all on it. People do all kind of crap and smear Jesus name on it for justfication. Has your pastor Heald cancer, has he healed covid. Did he heal a cold. No! All he is doing is dressing good, eating good, vacationing good, driving good. How many of you saints on medication? Yet Jesus is your healer. Don't pray or prey for me. I'm all set with that. Jesus ain't heard you then please please please do not play for me. Your prayers are obviously cursed. Pray a miracle in your own messed up lives. Show some miraculous evidence, for the non believer to see. Ain't gonna happen. Your Bible says one should KNOW the truth not believe in it. Thats why with zero evidence you must have a little clever and craftily idea of a thing called faith. Like a dog chasing his tail. Cycles, going nowhere fast. Ain't nobody open up that book and read it yet. Saved folk Bibles these days look like coloring books. Imagine reading a book that really assisted you in improving you. Well it ain't gonna come by way of Jesus or your beloved pimpin pastor. Sharing my two cent thought that is totally worthless to you. I get it brah.
