May I suggest that you find yourself through yourself instead of trying to contort yourself into a pretzel to be what a man wants you to be? Viewing femininity through a masculine lens is a sure-fire way to keep yourself lost. Learning to love yourself is a solo journey. 💛

Now, as a disabled divorced dislocated man, where do I begin to pick up the pieces from the truma to establish some sort of balance that comes with the world's standards of being a man?
@TheMetamorphosisEffect
@TheMetamorphosisEffect 10 ай бұрын
@ferdinandthomasjr9414 I'm a single mother of 2 daughters. However, I would start with turning the negative into a positive. Write a book. Share your testimony. It takes time but start a foundation. Sharing with others while you pick up the pieces gives your pain purpose. Like they said fulfillment is better than success. But in actuality, it is success. Once you start making your past pain work for you, you'll naturally gain the confidence to become the man God called you to be. Because 2. The world's standards of a man has changed and will change again. The foundation is in God. Who is the same yesterday today and forever. Hope this helps King!

Ok bless your heart that’s what manhood is to be holding hand, praying together and holding each other up in Jesus name But this goes to show a lot of men getting women pregnant women having babies by these men and a man I’m not there to teach their sons not their daughters the way of life because they don’t know But I’m proud of these young men trying to get it together in Jesus name I always start off by saying there’s a lot of people that don’t believe in the Bible don’t believe in gods word don’t read the Bible and some just simply don’t believe in God, but if they have any type of belief read 1 Corinthians chapter 16:13-14. This is the Five Pillars of biblical manhood instructions to be on guard. Read it knowledge is power.

This was goooood! My husband and I have been together almost 14 years, and I still get butterflies. Not because we have money, not because he wines & dined me, but because he gets me! We connect & compliment one another in so many ways. When we started he has just graduated and I was still in college, he was an intern and I was not employed. He was not like any guy I had talked to previously, but God showed me he was for me. I moved 3000 miles to be with him and he still was 400 miles away while we were dating. What God has joined together let no one tear apart!

This was excellent. The wisdom and character development from seasoned men is so refreshing. Lecrae for his great transparency and sense of humor. And Tim for his teaching and honesty. I would love to have the sound bites and quotes from this episode! So much respect for their efforts to do the healing work and actively become a husband and life partner. Not just get married. “If you hoe all the way up to marriage, don't think your mind and body is going to respond to monogamy and exclusivity well. And be content.” What ball player doesn’t discipline, doesn’t train, doesn’t practice, and wins the play offs? Because what you're saying while gaining self-discipline is, I value my body, and I know how to be disciplined in my body no matter what stage we are in in marriage, and you can find safety in that. “The most extravagant gifts men can give woman is, the safety and protection of their bodies. Your body is safe with me.”

What Lacrae said about weighing the costs and benefits in the relationship was key! Men dating today tend to only want the benefits without willing to embrace the costs of a relationship. Then they camouflage wanting it all just to take advantage of the "benefits". I hope that men become more vocal and truthful about what they truly want in these dating streets. 👏👏👏 good stuff!

Great podcast and messages!My takeaways: -Acknowledgement of the double standard for women vs. men being sexually promiscuous. -Women will gladly “follow” and support a man who has shown himself as mentally and spiritually qualified to lead. -Don’t be afraid to fail during the journey of life and love. Just keep at it and do better. -For men and women … introspection and communication is key. Thank you

We gotta stop assuming women automatically follow men because he mentally & financially stable. Also, why would a woman even be with a man if she not going to follow his lead? An this is something you can ascertain during the talking phase. A woman who is with a man who can’t or not ready to lead isn’t a wife herself!
@caramelmosaicmosaic7940
@caramelmosaicmosaic7940 10 ай бұрын
@@BjtheLawyer_ Hi there. Not sure what your point is. In case you misunderstood what I typed, re-read what my post said, i.e. …women will gladly “follow” and support a man who has shown himself to be……(wait for it)…….: “MENTALLY and SPIRITUALLY qualified” I said nothing about a man leading just because he’s financially set. Why? Because that’s shallow and I know many men/people who are financially well off, but their character sucks. In which case I could care less how much money you make, much less how attractive he may be.
@BjtheLawyer_
@BjtheLawyer_ 10 ай бұрын
@@caramelmosaicmosaic7940 if you don’t understand my point then you don’t comprehend the argument I’m making. We going to tailor this convo to just black people. In 2023, to assume a woman will just “gladly” follow because a man is stable mentally & physically is a half truth. And you’re placing the entire onus on the man. And I’m telling you most bw aren’t following bm regardless of the man’s position! If that was the case more than 27% of bw would be married lol. Stop thinking because the man is one way that the woman will automatically or gladly or whatever word you want to use will just fall in line because that’s false. The woman has to do the work herself & she has to be ready, able, and willing. But the work has to be done way before the man shows up. Because it’s a lot of women who had great men, but because they weren’t wives themselves, they fumbled the bag. That don’t get talked about enough! I hope you keeping up!

He left our family to start another one, which I can feel this woman’s presence but I don’t even know what her face looks like. This was so incredibly insightful! I am grieving; however, learning as a woman of God marriage is a ministry. We need to be purposefully with everything we do/say and that begins with acknowledging and worshipping our Creator! Thank you gentlemen for doing this. It is truly a blessing!

A MAN is someone who recognizes his HEAD and LEADER, and he acts accordingly. He LOVES GOD and CHRIST more than anything, or anyone including himself. Anytime a MALE is on JESUS CHRIST team, he is now OFFICIALLY a MAN. If he's on JESUS team, he's going to LIVE and DO RIGHT. He also applies Matthew 7:12 which is to TREAT others the same way you want to be treated....in other words, DON'T do to others what you would NEVER want done to you. A MAN not only KNOWS this, he LIVES and APPLIES this in his EVERY DAY LIFE. It's really just that SIMPLE. I really value, appreciate and love Lacrae, and I wish him and his family nothing but the very, very BEST. This world need MORE people like him. Music that UPLIFTS, opposed to TEARING DOWN. AWESOME!!!🙏🥰😇🙏

Exactly! 24:20 when it comes to your gift(s), it (they) will show up in EVERY THING that you do. A person’s gift as a communicator will have them showing up as a journalist, or a rapper, preaching, or a radio personality or teacher, et. Al. I noticed that long ago, you’ll never escape your gift when you live authentically. I pay close attention to the kids in my family and watch for the gifts to show up. As they grow older, I ask questions that encourage them and expose them to experiences that contribute to who they are in purpose.

Great episode, I could see the 2 hosts not yet quite embracing the idea of abstinence before marriage….😏 please bring both Tim & Lecrae’s wives to share their perspectives. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺☺️

Wow I’m 30 minutes into this episode and I’m straight in tears…my God thank y’all so much for giving me a chance as a woman to better understand my man…I must admit that I have high regards for men/my man but at the same time I felt that I really don’t truly understand men the way that I feel I should, that will allow me to understand and connect with him on a deeper level…and to hear this from men themselves…this means so much to me ❤

Dope pod gents! I really appreciate Lecrae’s presence here. Tim is dope, but he does come across as Mr. perfect even when discussing his marriage. I love the fact that Lecrae kept It real with us regarding romance, disappointment, having kids, etc. I think we need to hear about the speed bumps that come along in a relationship as much as we do the couple that’s perfect.

I’m loving listening to men actually communicate and learning. Sharing experiences. If I had a teenage son I would have him listen. This is so great. Very powerful to hear what a black man has going on and what I need to look out for and work on. Thank you.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. There's so many podcasts and channels dedicated to bashing women, or praising bad behavior from men, that it's refreshing to see Tim & Lecrae be honest, open, and shed wisdom. Even when the host kept trying to trip them up with the fidelity piece, they stood toes down, and honored their spouse. It really takes these types of men to be in community with your man. I'm always feel like when you're in a marriage/relationship, your community is SO important. I wish there were more men in proximity like this. God bless you all, and your beautiful families.

I appreciate this conversation, Men. Thank you for underscoring how critical it is for Men to be properly initiated into Manhood. As a now single mom raising 4 young Men, I'm very clear that I can raise them, but not initiate them. Thank you for Men putting this out and standing on Manhood. We need you, and we appreciate you. And thank you for the wisdom for Women. Being equally yoked is critical...and it's more than equal paychecks. Blessings!
