He is first Prince of Wales to graduate from a university (Cambridge) He entered and finished university with good grades (not some "special program" like Harry at Eton) Charles does have a huge ego and he is very "sensitive"(emotional) Some would say that he is a narcissist and/or "spoilt rotten" Charles does not seem to understand that, as a (future) constitutional monarch that people don't really want to hear about his political and social opinions. He needs to learn to shut his trap/gob Charles does not seem to grasp that being the future king (or as the king) it isn't all about him -- It is all about the institution of the monarchy. He is a place holder until the next generation takes over.

Traditionally, the male is usually older than the female because a male had to make his way in the world and have an education and/or a trade to support a wife and children. Early marriage was the norm back then; people didn't live very long.

Even as late as the 1950's/early 1960's women married at ages ranging from 16--18 years old (or, if wealthier, upon her graduation from college -- no student loans back then) The Rocker, Jerry Lee Lewis married his 14-year old cousin. That was a scandal in the 1950's. Elvis chose Priscilla to be his wife when she was 14 -- They did not marry until she was 22. She moved to the USA when she was about 16-17 and lived with Elvis' father and step-mother until the marriage. Back in those days (1950's/1960's), the economy was such that a young man right out of High School upon obtaining a job in a factory (or equivalent pay) was able to support a family within a year or so. Most of these working-class wives had to get a job (eventually) if their husband did not progress in his career (as inflation increased). But for a time in the USA the economy was so good that forming a family with at least three children was the norm (usually 4 or 5 kids). THOSE WERE DIFFERENT TIMES

I've never heard anyone say this about vicky, it's always Louise or Alice. I often thought myself vicky was quite pretty, in her younger years. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess 😊

I also believe Vicky loved him very much, it's just that when she got married into the Prussian royal family, everyone, especially her parents, put a lot of pressure and high expectations on her. Her biggest duty as the wife of the future Prussian king was to give birth to a healthy, strong heir who would one day bridge the gap between Germany and Britain so when Wilhelm was born with his disability, she viewed it as a failure on her part and allowed that guilt and self-blaming to project onto him. There are some instances where Wilhelm tried to connect with her when he was a teenager, but she often misinterpreted his feelings. After that, he gave up on trying to be close with her and their already distant relationship became worse after that.
