Filmed and edited by Marcus Howard. One of the last interviews legendary Dublin blues musician Pat Farrell made a few weeks before he passed on which I was lucky to film. He helped to lay the foundations for great music in Ireland. He discusses his time with the blues scene in Ireland from Jangle Dangle, Skid Row, Red Peters, The Business as well as supporting BB King in The Stadium. He also discusses the local scene in the 1960s and 1970s and gives some really good music advice. He was a real gentleman and respected by numerous musicians. An Irish Blues Stories production.

I was just a country lad of 17yrs , but I've fond memories of attending Sunday afternoon gigs in the Meeting Place where Pat and Jimmy Faulkner, Red Peters, Don Baker and many more musicians would do their thing. this is a nice tribute to a great musician..RIP....Pat Farrell

I was sad to hear this. Enjoyed his playing in so many settings over the years and most recently with the rambunctious Dublin Blues Cartel. Legendary player and from what I hear, a gentleman. Thanks for the music. RIP Pat.

It's so nice to hear this interview. Pat speaking so frankly about his life's experience as a wonderful musician who played straight from his heart, always. I played with him on just a few occasions and knew him since the 1970s, but never knew him well only because I lived on the Southside and left the music business in the late 70s to pursue another career abroad. At retirement age I started playing in bands again and was lucky enough to play with Pat again on one gig with Southern Express. As I always remember him, he was a gentleman and very humorous. RIP Pat.

Thanks for this Marcus. I was lucky to befriend Pat thirty odd years ago and spent many a good evening chatting with him and listening to him play with Don, the Business, Red and very fond memories of him playing with Noel Bridgeman at the Aces On The Roof sessions in Slattery's cellar bar. A fine musician and a fine person.

Never been stopped in my tracks by a guitarist before I heard Pat play in Whelans a few years ago. Was in the middle of leaving the place and I ended up watching the entire show.
