Pat saying they're going to change how sports are covered is also just straight up true! His interviews and format and even all of the nonsensical tangents make his show like a thousand times more palatable than anything on ESPN or Fox Sports.

Being 28 I can safely say my generation has been tired of the corny hot takes from ESPN and Fox for years now. Discovering Pat’s show actually made me interested in sports again.

I’m almost 40 and straight up stopped listening to anything from ESPN and Fox a long time ago for the same reason. Even in ESPN radio every sports talk show is rife with garbage takes. Pat is still the only place I come for sports news.

I think it's just the over saturation. Same with political news. It's now a 24/7 channel that has to talk about 2 or 3 things so people have to make up crazy takes and people have to "debate" on these shows, so it's always one guy who's talking about something he doesn't even believe.
