People outside of Cleveland arent really gonna understand but that specific beat reporter is HATED here. Tony Grossi is as negative and unbearable as they get and hes been on Bakers case even before he got drafted (in fact he said he would QUIT if Baker was taken by the Browns which obviously didnt happen). So Baker ultimately is fed up with him asking him stupid fucking questions like "hey are you happy your drive was a miserable failure?". Context people. Context.

I get what you're saying, but if you're going to make yourself a target, once in a while you'll get hit. It's the same problem I have with Cam Newton sometimes. When everything is great they present an upbeat, borderline arrogant demeanor (which is good fro a QB IMO) but when things are bad they seem to not be able to take it. If you hate the guy is even more reason to respond like a professional, face of a franchise, player. Because you know he's there to get that exact reaction from you.

FlyontheWall412 You’re probably right, I’m not from Cleveland so I don’t know about how the guy is viewed. But I do know he’s been covering that team for a long time and you don’t last that long unless you’re good at your job or sleeping with the right person. All reporters are there to get a story or a sound bite and Baker is a lightning rod for it. Personally I blame the Browns for drafting him purely because all signs point to them drafting him because of his edge and not his talent. They could’ve had Darnold or Saquon and not been in this situation. But since they brought Baker into this volatility they’re essentially setting him up for failure

patsap84 obviously the penalties are a problem, but once again that also can fall under Freddie kitchens as a disciplinary issue. Secondly, no that is very wrong. You cannot just run any play with any team. Each team had a specific style they play in because that way works, but another style doesn’t. Freddie kitchens play calling is horrible, constantly throwing deep balls, calling passes when it should be a run, etc. His play calling from last year has changed dramatically and for the worst.
