He was probably even further left than most liberals, considering the fact that he had correspondence with Noam Chomsky before he died and even had plans to do an interview with him after his second tour; this interview was to be anti-war in nature, because Tillman was also anti-war

It sickens me when people use the dead and claim they’d say this or that. Pat went to war for his country and supported positivity through example. Did you not see how he felt about the national anthem? He loved his country and what that flag means for ALL our freedoms. You sir can’t speak on Pat. He died with our freedom in his heart. Period. I don't know a lotta millionaires. I don't know anybody that walked away from a multi-million dollar contract to enlist in the Army. And then for Pat to become a Ranger!?! Pat had nearly a 4.0 when he graduated from college. Every branch of the military would have tripped over their collective _icks to offer a guy named Pat Tillman a commission. Hell, we would have been happy for Pat simply to join the USO tour on occasions and toss a few footballs to the troops. But when Pat made up his mind to join up, he didn't take the easy path ... he became a Ranger to get into the shi_ quick. If only the men and ESPECIALLY THOSE HIGH RANKING OFFICERS that helped pass off the false narrative about Pat's death ... if they had just one scintilla of the guts that Pat Tillman had, maybe, just maybe we wouldn't have such a big, bunch, of dishonorable people in high places ... "Perfume Princes in the Pentagon", as Colonel Hackworth used to call them; telling their civilian superiors what they wanted to hear. Any man or woman that ever wore a military uniform, whether they went to war or not; when a stranger comes to them on the street and thanks them for their service, they do so in part because of stories of heroic deeds of servicemen and women from years past with those deeds often resulting in death of the service member on the battlefield. Those strangers on the street confuse us with people like Corporal Tillman. Pat Tillman would not have lied and he would not have been part of any false narrative, and the actions of any man or woman who knew full well what had happened and failed in his responsibility to tell the truth, they only serve to bring shame to the uniform that so many heroes like Pat Tillman wore.

You should read 'Where Men Win Glory.' Pat was a patriot but he was also incredibly caring and sympathetic to the struggles of others. I don't think his reaction to all this would be as obvious as you think. He would call a spade a spade and I doubt he'd have been a fan of Trump.

I have watched Pat Tillman play for Arizona Cardinals as a warrior of the game. He became a hero once he enlisted into the military and carried his warrior instincts into battle and fought a good fight. Until his end. He is a true warrior and hero in God's Hall of Fame. Go Cardinals!

Pat Tillman was killed in a friendly fire "accident" after he expressed doubt about the American mission in Afghanistan. He was "shot three times in the head at less than 10 yards away, according to Army doctors" and "members of Tillman's unit burned his body armor and uniform in an apparent attempt to hide the fact that he was killed by friendly fire."

It's powerful to carry yourself with confidence like Pat did. Present yourself as in control and prepared. Don't draw attention. Say less do more. We get to goals faster being honest with each other. Be personable and supportive to your team. Don't waste time. He taught me that your will is your greatest asset once you learn how to tap into it.

I sat on red hill last night and watched fireworks in several towns and thought about where we’re going. Every American should be ready to defend our great country as our forefathers did to give us the freedoms we have. Mr. Tillman did just that.

Chuck Lubash on Pat....Pat Tillman is an American 'role model'. He challenged himself and did it to the highest level. An athlete, scholar, patriot/soldier, teammate, friend and family man. I regret that I never knew him personally, but got to know him through his best friend and ASU teammate ,Barry, and his personally recollections. Admiration and Respect are a forever tribute to a short life, by a giant of a man, Pat Tillman.

This great man walked past me (Cardinals helmet in hand) before watching him compete against the Dallas Cowboys circa 1996. I will always remember that strut and long locks with a look of determination. God Bless him.
