I've always loved Shakkoumkon. Such an underrated Digimon.

Devimon is sometimes flavored as a fallen Angemon, which makes the longer arms a shared design piece, and I think that's cool. Also, dogu are super cool! There's the ancient astronaut hypothesis which makes the angel + dinosaur make even more sense as it, and I'm super into the more tangential evolutions.

Finding out that Tokomon's design was inspired by Fizzgig is a nice feeling. It's just really cool when you find out that two franchises you're into happen to be connected, even if it's in a small way like this.

While Elecmon lost Angemon to Patamon, it got Leomon as it´s "official" evolution alongside the many versions of this Digimon. They even recently added HeavyLeomon for the GrapLeomon part of the line, so like Patamon, Elecmon too has more Megas and lines to go for. And when it comes to Shakkoumon, at least in to me, I think what brings it down when compared with Paildramon and Siplhymon, it doesn´t relly have a "canon" next digivolution. It doesn´t really have anything that takes the design further. Paildramon has Imperialdramon and its various modes while Siphymon has Valkyrimon, but whenever Shakkoumon is obtaiable in any sort of game, it for some reason is able to digivolve into Vikemon and something else, most of the time. If it had a more appropriate and fitting digivolution, it would for sure be more popular and help up alongside its other 02 jogresses.

Just rewoching Digimon Adventure 01 and couldn't help but notes after woching your video that Wizardmon ALSO has the "Upside Down" Darkniss symbol on the inside of his Cape. Just like you menchaned that Seraphim on has it on his armer

The thing is in tri for Seraphimons appearance, it's already happend in Movie 3 Hurricane Touchdown (and the movie is canon according to multiple sources) so takeru wasn't really surprised. Same goes for holydramon from Hurricane Touchdown and Rosemon from a Drama CD input. In no cases the children are suprised by their evolutions. Also the build up was more like in the previous movie and also Heracle Kabuterimons appearance in tri Movie 4 was the apology for the lack of screen time and action in tri movie 3

Another possible evolution for Shakkoumon is SlashAngemon. It’s from the game, Digimon Story: Lost Evolution.

I accept that Shakkoumon is a logical choice for Angemon's and Ankylomon's DNA evolution, but I still don't like it. But I would've like MagnaAngemon to become Goldramon^^ As I read in a comment, it really would fit more perfectly with MagnaDramonx3 Patamon is one of my fav's too. I like those who look so innocent and can't harm anyone and then become such powerful creatures that kick everyone's ass!xD

Evil corrupts and mimics good. The symbol isn't the same, but it is like it and of course upside down. Evil digimon are often corrupted versions of the good ones. That's why you see that image inverted on the devimon line

Surprised there's no mention of Slashangemon/Guardiangemon. Also, once nice detail is that magnaangemon and seraphimon wings are taken from the classical depictions of angels

As a kid I used to have Vpet ver 3, Kunemon & Patamon both are my favourite. Angemon is from vpet ver 2. When Patamon evolved into Angemon in the series. I am fully amazed.

Actually I only recently found this out but Magna Angemon is actually designed after a Seraphim. It's weird how Seraphimon isn't designed after a Seraphim but is called Seraphimon. I think Elecmon was given Leomon as a Digivolution. Digimon Rearise confirms that the Leomon is officially Elecmon's champion form.

Is it possible that the metal orbs on Angemon represent bolts as a throwback to crucification? Also the wings remind me of the "true Biblical angels" that have many wings which also cover their bodies.

I have a thought about the logo on Seraphimon. I think that he did not take the logo from the evil types but rather they took it from him. What I noticed is that the evil Digimon that have this logo are either fallen type digimon or evolved from the fallen type, so it could be that the logo inverted when they became fallen.

I'll be honest, I vastly prefer the redesigns of Ankylomon over the normal design although I can appreciate it for being a digital representation of data that represents something ancient. I think Angemon is cool, but I also like ManaAngemeon as its evolution, the sensible evolution design works for me personally.

I always felt like the digiegg evolution on the show took inspirations from the mega levels of the digimon adventure digimon like how flamedramon has some inspirations from wargreymon. There is probably no truth to that but since I believed it I always wondered why the digiegg of hope led to pegasusmon since it doesn't really look like it has inspiration from seraphimon at all until you brought up godramon and blew my mind. Godramon is the inspiration for pegasusmon as Nefertimon I get since I always considered gatomons mega to be holydramon.

And then you have Patamon's Armor forms. XD

there is actually a reason why magna angemons wings are like that...the angemon line isnt based on a generic angel that is known to popular culture,rather it is inspired by by a specific veriety of angelic being in judeo christian theology called a "seraph" ...in the bible and torra the seraph (or seraphim) are referrd to as holy angelic beings of light consumed my fire with multiple sets of wings (usually at least six) two of theese wings wer used for flight while the others covered either thier face or thier feet. this was because they stood in the presence of god,and needed to shield thier eyes from gods full glory,and needed to cover thier feet to show thier humility as not to discrace his pressence. this might also be why this line wears helmates to cover thier faces,particularly thier eyes...at draing wings over them might have looked to akward. im glad they got rid of the lipstic as it didint really make sense...and the monstrous arm length did not do the design any good...just because something is a monster does not mean it needs to look grotesque...i like to think the creator while wanting to make them unique and stand out on thier own,he also wanted to treat the source material with dignity. as for the symbol on seraphimon your right thats no cooincidence there is a connection between them and evil digimon however you got it backwards....what seraphimon is usings is intended to be the origional "right side up" the evil digimon are the ones mimicking. if you look at the lore demonic digimon like devimon or Daemon are actually fallen angel digimon that were origionally angemon,magnangimon and seraphimon but became corrupted thier data changing into that of a virus. belive it or nor Godramon also has genuine design ties to the seraphim of judao-christianity . as the saraphim share a synonymous identiy with "fiary serpants" and thus some believe the seraph to at times resemble holy fiary dragons.

If Iam not mistaken this isn't the first time we saw Serhapimom Iam 99% certain in the movie with Lopmon and Terriermon with that Golden Rapidmon evolution and Magnamon. That Patamon did also evolve into Serpahimon so them making not to big of a deal for it doesnt bother me that much.

What about the Armor Digivolutions for Patamon? Baromon for Courage, Stegomon for Friendship, Pipismon for Love, Ponchomon for Sincerity, Mothmon for Knowledge, Mantaraymon for Reliability, Manbomon for Light, Prariemon for Kindness, & Rhinomon for Golden Eggs?

thank god we saw godramon in the anime, i always loved this digimon as a mega over seraphimon (dominimon is in a grey area, i like the concept and i wish we had see it and rasielmon in the anime where patamon and gatomon dont have the confidence to rerach their true megas and end up as dominimon and rasielmon). also how would angedramon look, or is that a walking contradiction

I think you got it backwards, most evil digimon are angel digimons becoming evil, goes for Lucimon, devimon, Lilithmon etc, so the symbol is actually from the angel digimons stolon and changed into devil digimons
