WE are completely playable, and honestly they have good matchups into just about every C and D faction, and most in B

i dont think D tier is real on this tierlist, but i would put slaanesh and WE at the bottom of C. skaven and demons are both very good into WE (especially this patch with furies acting like crowmen, soulgrinder being so good vs everything, and more LD for all demons), WE is good into khorne, VP, norsca, very good vs DE.

Same. It doesnt have to be a 3 Lord dlc, but at least one (or heck, both at this point, theyre rivals anyhow) should be in it. Cathay is only popular in campaign because some of the ppl crying about how bad Empire and Dwarfs were played Cathay instead... because they were op in campaign, too. But now they should be back on their newly reworked and overpowered Old World factions. And The reasons why nobody plays Slaanesh is because A, their campaign is awfully daunting and off-putting with the Ulthuan start (as much as people love killing elves, apparently they dont like to do it non-stop from the start or just as Slaanesh) B, they nerfed all their units to the ground (the few which were any good in the first place) except those slow melee WoC copypaste warriors. C, CA didnt really go all out on Slaaneshi themes, and GW is shying away from them too, so theyre just not as appaeling as they could be in any and all sense of the word. Then again, afaik they were never popular in the first place. Warhammer fans are a strangely un-horny bunch.

@Grivehn I'd be surprised if we get a 3 lord pack after ToD based on what CA said a while back. Even as someone that considers themselves a Slaanesh main I eventually got tired of the magic donut. The endless sea of spears and archers got old quickly. One wrong move, and N'kari was quickly losing health because I was too busy microing something else & he's stuck in a blob of spears with archers shooting at him. The sieges got old quickly too. Combine that with the slow casualty replenishment, and it felt like if you didn't do everything perfectly you were screwed. Fun campaign when the ball starts rolling. Really fun to have the entire empire under my control without fighting them once. I also think they're bot popular because of their higher skill requirements based on their playstyle. A lot of their units require a lot of babysitting. Even on the campaign map you can find yourself with tons of heroes scattered all over the map that need to be managed every turn. Back to the battle side of things they're supposed to be the chariot faction, but chariots suck....like really suck. You're telling me I have to micro a flank force while keeping an eye on a chariot to break through their lines? Oh hell naw. I found myself drifting away from Slaanesh to greener pastures into the arms of Bretonnia and Beastmen lately. I can still get flanking shenanigans that I love in MP & not feel so gimped along with a more interesting campaign experience when I play SP.

@@ZeriocTheTank I couldnt agree more with all of that. The Nkari campaign is good like once. And good after you get Ulthuan under your control. Or if you migrate northwards or something. And in battle yeah, they got nerfed cuz of Domination so hard they got stuck at the bottom for over a year now.

same. same. Nothing else should be done with this game until Khorne and Slaanesh are expanded, and Nurgle and Tzeentch expanded AGAIN. It does not sit right with me to have Core races with only two or three or ONE Legendary Lords/start positions :( All should have at least four or five like Game 1 core races, or preferably 6 or 7 like Game 2 core races. Full stop

What do you guys think if for the Slanash DLC, came with the Khorne DLC, and the Norsca DLC. To finish up and round off the chaos factions. And after that. The next DLC is a full undead themed DLC. So Vampire Counts, Tomb Kings, And Vampire Coast, all get a DLC at the same time.

My experience with BM is exactly the same as your experience with LM. I cannot predict the next bullshit way they will find to win a battle. SE spam? Best mobility? Traitor kin spam while forcing blobs? Cost effective raiders and axe throwers? You name it and BM have it

magic is a stupid mechanic. since we have no dispell, not beeing magic users is a huge disadvantage. magic makes this game arcady. on the another hand, it's called faction uniqueness. you can't give every faction every tool just to be mp balanced. that's not how it works.

"Speed is a fake stat" That's one of the most interesting things about the difference between land battle which is just blobfights vs domination where slaanesh actually can perform very well. Its no surprise that the literal worst factions in the game are the two fastest ones in a game mode where speed is almost meaningless. Khorne also works just fine in domination since you CAN be a no magic melee faction with good speed and hard hitting units when every fight doesnt boil down to just being a blob fight.

On the other hand, Cathay kept getting buffs/not getting nerfs because theyre a pretty slow faction for Domination. Lets face it, some factions are just not meant to be played in Dom. After watching Turin sweat blood to win with Vampire Coast the other day, Im even more convinced CA shouldnt balance for Dom whatsoever. Play the factions that arent full of 30 speed units or need artillery to win... some factions just arent meant to constantly walk between and reinforce imaginary points that have nothing to do with fighting a battle. And thats okay. Its okay for factions to have such weaknesses. Stuff thats less okay is elves and demons having way less units cuz they underperform, but are overcosted. In LB I keep saying its an issue too, but in Dom its way worse. You have 12 units for the 18 of the enemy, and most of those 12 are trash tier, too. Whilst say Kislev or Empire can bring all the shooting, magic, cavalry, etc. elites they need to mop the floor with your spearmen and lothern sea guard. Its like facing a crisis army in campaign with a starting army. You have to be a top tier player to win those odds, and thats EVERY battle for elves in both game modes. I dont care if its closer to tabletop. Fighting for a spot of land that gives no bonuses and has no meaning is just playing a game, not simulating a battle. Imagine if Attila the Hun attacked Rome, sat on the spot before the Colosseum for 5 minutes, then said "Now I won the siege, surrender, romans!" Then the romans would all just stopped fighting and watched their citizens get massacred and their city looted. If those points gave any tangible benefits, like opening a vanguard point, giving a tower... I know some maps experimented with those, then maybe... but I also know people didnt like it cuz it was called unbalanced... exactly because some factions have an inherently easier time in Dom than others. Almost as if like the factions were not designed to play that way... Sigh.. rant off.

yeah sure a freaking huge ship on wheels should be stopped by hallberds...once again a stupid mp request. Do you even hear yourself ? Halberds are for cav or monsters not tanks or ships on wheels. If anything it does make sense and yeah hitbox should be different from toad dragons. You want to stop it : bring mass... Problem is as soon as cheap crap infantry is less effective than before mp players begin to complain because they have to change a bit their playstyle.

have uh... have you tried to stop the land ship with mass? It doesnt stop. It rolls right through knights XD. I had a video up, something like "landship gets 6k value and loses?" or something. In there rot knights, a soulgrinder, and nurgle exalted heroes just chased the landship forever. They can't figure out how to hit it. Doesnt matter what you do as the player, your units cant figure out how to interact with the model.

@@HumanBoyYesYes yeah I did. Stuff like reiksguards manage to slow it down and stop it when not in full power. But cav itself won't win without support. Problem is not on the implementation but on the design. If anything CA did a good job. What do you think happens when you put a freaking tank in a medieval/renaissance warfare period ? Except artillery (or to a lesser extent muskets units) you wouldn't stand a chance. Should it be stopped by halberds ? No. Landship needs a bit of a cost increase +150g and -2000hp but bypassing its design and function would be a mistake. Now always catering to a minority of players because they can't spam their crappy infantry doomstack is not smart nor good for mp scenes (if such thing exists). Crappy infantry is already too cost effective. If anything needs to be nerfed is that crappy infantry for most factions. Empire swordsmen, dwarf warriors, marauders...are the real ones in need of cost increase and big nerfs.

It's customs battles and not multiplayer campaigns (which I assume is what you meant because you mentionned weeks). One battle last around 15 mins.
