“You’re dead longer than you’re alive” Powerful words
@Chaoticbeauty743 жыл бұрын
I was born and raised in Paterson 45yrs. And as I got older and wiser..it's clear to see those in office want the town and people to remain suppressed. Doesn't matter what race you are, they make it a struggle from assistance to health care. It's a cycle of anger from one generation to the next. If you see a barefoot homeless human eating from the garbage in front of city hall you know that's a problem with those trusted to better the community. Somewhere between the 80's to present, a lot of people have lost regard to human life. Get some people that have lived the struggle in those seats. When it comes down to it, (like myself) if you could feed a family of four on $50 for week then just imagine how the budget would be handled. Lastly, all the comments made how people from P town are all trash just isn't the case. I happened to raise three successful college grads with great careers all in the field of helping people. Yes, there are some really messed up people running the streets but there a whole lot more good, real people in Paterson.

I don't know what you mean that paterson nj use to have honor before, there were no honor back then when I was growing up, just as it is now. Back in public school 4. I was in multiple fights over the years, children braws. but each and every time I fought back with only my fists, until the opponent gave up, a honorable fight. I was committed and strap to a hospital bed, from feet to head, in and out, of hospitals for a minimum of a week, other times, months,against my will. When I was beaten up, and gave up, the other kids don't get any consequence by the teachers, not even detention. My friends, the ones I gave cloths from my closet, yearly, my family I talk to prouding, my community I love to a point I don't even lock my door. When I needed help with bruises, broken bones, from outnumber fights, at minimum 5 to 1, no one open the doors and pickup the phones, when I ask for backup. corrupted doctors too overjoy with a pen when it comes to perjury, no attorney answer their voicemail. I self taught myself programming, but barely graduated high school,apparently death threats in class wasn't a good excuse. Paterson never had honor.

Paterson back in the day meaning 60s 70s was a shopping destination. The Great Falls , Garrett Mountain , Great stores , and excellent restaurants. Unfortunately this town is a craphole now as well as Jersey City and Newark , also known for the same including historical value. . Always trying to come out of the hole but never seem to be able to do it. The politicians including Cory Booker have failed at reviving these iconic Jersey towns. Great video, Great talk guys !

2004 is when it got crazy. I remember being in high school. There was a while where paterson didn't have the rep Jersey City and Newark did but that changed. I'd say now paterson and Newark are neck and neck as far as crime. Paterson is prob more impoverished per square mile.

But sound to me like, back then, that people, most of the time, tried to fight and/or talk, instead of using weapon as a first and only option in conflict, which sounds to me as honor. My bad.
