I'm currently doing this build in a non-trading league and managing more than fine to delete the hardest parts of the end-game. It's extremely good on leveling (see my leveling guide) and will not need any investment/crafting until red maps. A better league starter or beginner-friendly build is really hard to find:)

there is one thing i would change and thats the hyrri's ire i would use a atziri's splendour with evasion and energy shield mods (i know for solo selffound its hard to get since there are like many different rolls for this chest). The combined energy shield and evasion give you more energy shield through the ascendacy then hyrri's ire (but again if you are ssf then finding this chest with the right rolls is hard). Been playing this build myself following it like explained here and its a breeze. good vid tho, take care ps. ofcourse if im wrong let me know im no god gamer or anything

Still no quality on the gems Marcus🙈 I thought I scolded you enough the other day😁 Also a few things people can consider. 1. You can use multiple totems for faster wither stacks with the blight threshold, or use selfcast blight and simply use a wither totem thus saving a jewel socket, but will cost some gem slots. 2. Atziri steps is a great set of boots for this(sp. dodge life, high eva, if you don't need the resists). 3. Life on kill hybrid chests are amazing. 4. Sorrow of the divine is great(use it before your life flask) will give you instant life and INSTANT es on life flask use(boosted by Life recovery from flasks nodes(tree+cluster). Ps. Great content mate! A small input is that even though you have timestamps at the start it would be to add the segments to the video so you can easily jump around to the segment you are interested in just using the red playbar on the video.

I don't seem to be able to have all three spell slingers + malevolence going at once. I can only get 2 spell slingers and no malevolence or 1 spell slinger + malevolence. What am I missing? - All notables he selected with reduced mana reservation for 12% - Allocated sovereignty - Amulet with 25% reduced malevolence reservation - Lvl 3 Enlighten gem (i'm not even close enough that a 4 will make a difference) Malevolence is 32%, spell slingers are 49%, 32%, 22% mana reserve. I must be missing some other way to reduce mana reservation?

Made the build and got to yellow maps, about 4 ex invested after 6l my chest, and I'm super impressed, this thing is fun easy and deletes red maps with mediocre gear(i bought some just to test my dmg). Well done man. Currently working on cluster jewels myself. I took baited breath for extra ES since my rares are still sub par, but with as fast as im making currency with it, it wont be long (12 ex so far and only in yellow maps on the atlas)

You say the build "deletes red maps with mediocre gear", but you're "only in yellow maps on the atlas". Am I misreading this? How do you know it does red maps easily if you're only on yellows?

I tried ED spellslinger with Presense of chayula, prism guardian and shavs, was really disappointed with the damage(mostly single target but higher tier reds were starting to slow down aswell) compared to investment. Not sure where i went wrong, had spreading rot wither totem and bane+despair combo.

Do we use Aura effect (Increased effect of Non auras from your skills) for something? Or the solo purpose of Sovereignty is the - mana reserved?

You still need frenzy to activate all the spellslingers. But you dont need to have despaire curs on hit anymore becuse of the witching brew.

I think that if you're going to go spellslinger, and you want the most out of it, you don't want pricey gear, able to solo self found, that volatile dead necromancer is a much stronger build. I was able to clear the first ascendancy trial at level 31. Absolutely melted the boss. I can't tell you how overpowered it is to be able to get your ascendancy at such a low level.

Thanks for this - I saw your leveling guide earlier tonight and started a new character (glacial hammer raider was a little slow). Really appreciate your work and excited to see how this progresses! VD was fun back with poets but isn't as interactive in my opinion. And who doesn't like chaos damage?

For 3.13 be warned, you will need Aul's in order run with Malevolence with this build. Even with all the reductions possible in game, this is the only way you will be able to fit Malevolence. There is a shield that might allow it to fit too, Prism Guardian, but then you are locking your self into a pretty poor shield for defense.

You need to make sure you pick up all mana reservation nodes and use those exact links. Search on reservation in the passive tree and make sure you picked them:)

any tips for getting all 3 spells activated? I am able to get all 3 activated but i have to take off all the support gems (dont have enough mana). I know he mentioned the two Path of building nodes, but i dont think they will be enough

Look at the VERTEX for the budget helm. It is a little pricy during league start week, but it takes a VERY well rolled influenced hubris with -9 chaos resistance to nearby to beat it. It is high evasion, has a fair amount of ES as well. After league start, it drops to 5-10c. Shouldn't be too hard to farm if you are picking up sac fragments and periodically running atziri. Her boots are 30% MS and have life. Not as common as the flask unfortunately. Vertex comes from uber atziri, so it will take a bit of grinding in SSF, as you'll need to get a set of mortal fragments. But for a couple targettable pieces, Atziri is hard to beat for SSF - espcially since your build is chaos based and doesn't have to deal with her reflect.

hey my man, thank you for this build guide, i was doing similar but with four links, it was very good as in 3 days i managed to get 6 exalts thanks to item rarity linked with contagion, anyway i got lucky with 5 socketed zodial leather which is on par with irri's if not better, has good chaos res and hp but its 2471 evasion, atm i have12k evasion rating(hat to swap my shield cuz my old shield dropped as i lost str), 2888 es, 3791 hp and 50% chance to evade attacks, if i manage to get my other shield on my stats gets higher, specially the shield, but lacking the str, anyway thank you for the guide

except that item rarity doesnt make more exalts drops, only quantity. Rarity makes more uniques and rares to drop.

Hey @Marcus Nordstrom did the Mana Reservation drastically change for this build in 3.12? Not only do I have to have all of the Mana Reservation Reduction nodes on the far left of the tree + the ones you have on the right sude, I have to have an extra 2% reduction from a Jewel. Most of my gear is the same as yours, Gems are 100% what you have running in this video. Do love the build though.

Sadly spellslinger got a nerf. Try to get a lvl 21 spellslinger, annoint your amulet and spellslinger enchant.

Hey, just messing around with this build at the end of the league... played since Essence league and have never done a chaos dot build... I noticed an odd thing about the blight totem... if you cast it, and monsters within its range die, and then more monsters move into its range, it won't attack them.... this appears to be because of the infused channeling gem somehow, because when i removed it, the totem's behavior reverted to normal totem behavior. Must be some strange bug between totems and infused channeling support. I just changed it to an efficacy support instead and it works properly now. Thanks for the build guide!

@@marcusnordstrom9251 Yeah, normally would probably just want it for boss, but i was pushing maps that were a little beyond where my build was and found it pretty useful to slow the shit out of mobs while my underleveled gems took their sweet time dps'ing them down. :P

I actually played basically this last league, just on Occultist witch. For Frenzy, have you thought about using Power Siphon instead? It is multiple projectiles, so it can hit a pack (mainly any rares in the pack) to curse them? It also has a built in Culling Strike. Once you get Witchfire Brew, I'd probably swap to Curse on Hit with Temp Chains, ramps up survivability by a ton (either picking up an extra curse can be used, or switching which curse is in effect whenever you press the Brew flask)

I run Power Siphon and Frenzy in same 4 link as curse on hit + curse, and alternate between then. What's better than either 3 frenzy charges or 3 power changes/multiple projectiles? Both :-) OFC might not be best in end game setup but working while levelling just fine.

I went volatile dead as my league start but damn this look really promising and interesting. Just a quick question tho, is the standard 5ex chaos bow that we use for normal Ed Contagion good enough? or do you think that the damage boost you get from the wand to spellslinger too great to pass?

@@alilarhdiri9666 Im farming t16 at did sirus lvl 6 without any problems. Sure, it's not going to instant kill bosses but it will kill them in -30 sec. Fare trade for not worry about map mods and have easy playstyle for farming.

What would you suggest for chest slot in Heist league? Getting that 4 off color evasion based chest is a bit harder this league.

I would recommend getting vorici in research on the syndicate board. That will give you a chance for 3 white sockets on any gear, if he is leader and 3 star then 3×2 white sockets. Did this yesterday with a clean syndicate board and it took about 1 h to get him in the best position.

I started with your earlier version with the passive tree that goes all the way to the left and grabs the reduced mana reserved nodes. In this version you utilize the totem support gems. When do you cast the totems? I didn't notice you using them in the end video.

Hi Marcus, Wonder if you know why my mana is not allocated - in your video you show all you mana but 64 used (or allocated). I doubled checked the gems I use and those are the same as your but my mana is not being used up. Casting frenzy also does not but frenzy. Any reason why this is happening? Apperantly other build creater have been doing some calculations and testing. Looks like the build is completly fine for leveling and weaker at end game. But the point was to go fast until white/yellow maps anyway:)

I'm a little newer but the description on infused channeling says totems can't gain infusion. Is this new since the guide or am I not understanding how this works?

Totem will not get the infusion part, but will still get the more % spell dmg on the gem:)

It is a good idea, but it will cost much more and will be harder to gear. Unless you have the correct gear it will not be stronger, but 8n the end it will defently better.

Hey i couldnt understand what skill gem you were refering to for the 6 link essence drain setup for a red gem.... Cause i got lucky enough for a 6 link with 4 blue 1 green and 1 red and im trying to find that skill gem

You could use insperation if you have an other skill linked with it that you use often and have mana cost. Because your spellslinger will not cost anything and will not activate inperation, but will work if you habe an other one:)

There is a way you can get perfect prefixes everytime with low level wand and harvest crafting. Is to many steps to write it down, and I need to try it myself:) there is a video uploaded about it on youtube, from someone else.

I think I answered by own question. I was using LMP in Soulrend and ED to help with clear. Which bumps the multiplier just high enough to not fit a six link ED

Man, i'm seriously enjoying this build right now. Just one thing i noticed - wouldn't it better to swap blight star and spreading rot jewels since spreading rot requires 40int to take advantage of the blight modifiers on it?

You don't need to allocate the 40 int you just need to have that in the radius of the circle. Don't really get whats the problem?

Ilvl 50-65, there is no other prefixes for chaos modifiers that can roll on the wand. That way we garanting the correct mods with evert chaos craft:)

such an awesome build. its a blast to play honestly i have 1 question. how are u able to run 3 spellslingers+ malevolence? i have enlighten lvl 4 and it still needs 33% reservation. the other spellslingers needs 21%, 37%, 32%

Were you able to sort this out? I have a mana reserve on my amulet and there's still no way I can fit everything. 32% for malevolence, 49%, 32%, 22% for the spell slingers.

@@annereilley4892 sorry for that hard delayed answer. so i use an amulett with "malevolence 23% less mana reservation" and a helmet with "skills supported by spellslinger have 13% reduced mana reservation" and an enlighten lvl 4 gem on malevolence. i hope that can help you in some way

I am confused by the placement of Spreading Rot - for the secondaries to kick in it needs +40 Int in the radius, and there is not enough to trigger it? I am a PoE noob, so what am I missing?

You don't need to allocate the int nodes, just need to be in the circle:)

As long as you activate spell slinger on your bar like an aura and mana is reserved. One click of frenzy will triger the active spellslinger skills.

Spellslinger got nerfed in 3.12 and have a higher mana reservation value now:( you are going to need a spellslinger enchant on the helmet or maybe get lvl 21 spellslinger and empower gem in 6 link.

Any advice on how to deal with the spellslinger nerfs? 5L essence drain + 4L soulrend + 2L Contagion. Can't go 6L anymore, not enough mana reservation :(

Best fix would be lvl 21 spellslinger and spellslinger less reservation enchant on helmet. Empower might also work for boosting our dmg and lowering the spellslinger reservation.

Only way I've found is you have to modify the tree some and take all of the Reduced Mana Reservation nodes all the way on the left of the tree, plus using a 2% reduced mana reservation jewel and it allows for 3Lcontagion 4Lsoulrend 6Les

Hi, spell totem support doesnt work here... I dont understand how spelltotem support should work here with 3 support spells... i dont have a totem in my skillbar and while i am playing, no totem is on the ground... Can you help me?

Why i cant turn all 3 spellsinger auras. It says reserve 50/30 and 22% total of mana. But while I turn on this with 50% and 30% reservation I have somehow to low mana to turn on last1. I’m lvl 31 right know and did exactly same with slot gems like on vid, except those 3 from lvl 38. Any advice what I did wrong?

You might missed a % mana reservation node on the skill tree. Or have linked more supports/skills to one of the spellslingers.

Don't use much mana, just one click per monster pack. But at the start I crafted mana per second on rings and had %mana regeneration.

@@jakenotjake899 they have moved glancing blows in 3.11 from the legion jewels to the normal skill tree. Don't think its an option anymore, maybe if you do low life character.

It's pretty tanky, have about 7.5k ehp and a lot of defensive layers. Did not try to get it this tanky, so there is room for even more safety.

I don't seem to be able to have all three spell slingers + malevolence going at once. I can only get 2 spell slingers and no malevolence or 1 spell slinger + malevolence. What am I missing? - All notables you selected with reduced mana reservation for 12% - Allocated sovereignty - Amulet with 25% reduced malevolence reservation - Lvl 3 Enlighten gem (i'm not even close enough that a 4 will make a difference) Malevolence is 32%, spell slingers are 49%, 32%, 22% mana reserve. I must be missing some other way to reduce mana reservation?

There is lab enchant on helmet that will lower reservation of spellslinger.
