I started with Absolution; respeced to dominating blow. Used that build to farm about 5-6 ex for my current build, a Bane Occultist, which is doing very well.

Building a selfattack Version with lower healthpool right now. Think I will try that totem variation for bosses. Looks like a bit better rundown

It was a good league start and I managed to take it up to lvl 90.. however for end game it requires investment to ramp up the DPS and survivability.. which is difficult if someone plays on his/her own pace.

If you're doing Sirus it felt pretty doable even with scuffed gear but for maven/hidden yeah definitely required some investment to ramp.

Thanks for the guide my dude. What would you prefer for mapping on the same budget? SST Maxblock glad or toxic rain? I feel like the block is very reliable but it's weak to degens. it can be as fast as a raider with proper play on shield charge as well. Bleed explosions are super nice too, specially for logbooks were you can just spam Shield throw and kill mobs offscreen for extra protection.} Even for single target it can be decent if you go on the impale scaling without too much currency as well. But i would love to get your input on this if you can ofc.

I'd prefer this as SST has a really janky hitbox and this will have more passive damage where you can just drop ballista and run around, but a properly optmized shield build should be better for bossing.

Same thing goes for shield crush, sometimes you can stand right in front of the mobs and spam shield crush and you hit nothing, then you take one step and you one shot the mobs.. so freaking annoying, seems to be an issue with shield skills.

Good vid man. For your caustic arrow you could woke aoe instead of decay. A few leagues back thats what i was running on my caustic arrow nova PF and the coverage was gg

I tried woke AoE and found decay to be more useful as I didn't have coverage issues I had damage issues in juiced content, but I would have coverage issues if I had used Conc effect.

I prefer clicking so that it forces me to slow down and think a little more. When I use a hotkey I tend to miss an immunity.

I did play this build except without the dmg mitigation you have now ive switched to path finder cuz i find spamming my flask. Now im gonna try and build mine like this also. Can i self cast tr and CA both? Also i have kintsugi as my chestpiece what do you think about it?

You can but the damage from using ballista support will be higher especially on bosses.

@@emmandiaz3495 Any glorious vanity can get Ritual of Shadows it's just random and buying a bunch and trying them. The "Xibaqua" is for Divine Flesh.

I started with TR/CA Raider but self attack. It's doing fine with a Silverbough. I'm just farming currency for a new build because TR gets boring after a while. I like your build videos so I look forward for one to try this league since I'll have enough currency to craft or buy gear.

How is it for "casual" lab running? Obviously not a dedicated lab running build, but is it decent to do ÜberLab and/or "Gift to the Goddess lab" reliably and at a decent pace (if you tested enough to know)? Thank you advance for answering!

I despise lab so I did it once while severely underleveled/geared at league start and that was fine but if you want to know more about lab running on TR check out SuitSizeSmall.

@@Tenkiei I definitely love SSS's content and find it quite useful indeed. But I'm far from having the skill and reactivity required to use his lab builds for now! Thank you, the "underleveled running without hiccupes" is encouraging; I'll see how the build fares on Despised Grounds :'p.

I had an awful league start. Decided to start with Explosive Concoction Ascendant (lol). The skill has so many problems; lack of projectile spread with gmp, small area of effect, bad damage and even projectile speed it lacks. Overall, it was a huge regret choosing that as my league starter. Boss fights were eternal, it couldn't clear packs well due to lack of damage and/or aoe and it definitely slowed down my atlas progression by a lot. Etiher way, nice video and build. I will think twice about starting a league with a new skill, that's for sure.

I don't think this fixes everything, but in general for shotgunning skills I've found better luck using Volley than GMP. But that's exactly why I don't advise people start new skills. Forbidden Rite is OP and I was tempted, but it could have easily been as bad as Explosive Concoction or worse.

There are people that made Explosive Concoction work and got to endgame with it without problems. The gem for sure has problems tho, like the lack of scaling from weapon

Currently anything that relies on indirect damage is better than using the skill itself because totems, traps , minions , brands , dot etc are an actual layer of defence, possibly the only decent defensive mechanism right now.

I started with Crit Boneshatter Jugg. It was alright. Tanky with great clear, but horrible bossing. But i felt no motivation tp try another

Don't you find your ballistas to die quickly without investing into passive tree nodes with life etc?

I haven't found it to be problematic no. Most of the time by the time the ballista are killed I can easily summon more or the enemies are also dead.

How does this compare to Champion and Pathfinder in 3.16?

Better than pathfinder, more damage than champion squishier than champion by a bit.

@@Tenkiei Could you explain a bit why raider is better than pf in 3.16? Master Alchemist is still op in 3.16, and Nature's Adrenaline is always on given we have auto flasks now. So I think maybe pf is better than raider？

I forget how many jewels it took me if I had to estimate 20 or so but I was pretty picky. I found several that just used 1 more passive point to reach.

@@Tenkiei How is this build in terms of survivability / end game bosses? I'm currently playing caustic arrow pathfinder, it has decent aoe clearspeed but 4.5k life and terrible solo dps. Thinking about this build :P

Why not use Apothecary's Gloves and Iolite Rings? Wouldn't that add a ton of damage to Toxic Rain?

I do have apothecary's gloves, and while an Iolite ring might be more damage I just never ended up rolling mine to the resists I needed to replace Carrion Gyre. For the other slot I prefer Vermillion for the 8% life.

@@Tenkiei Ya the Vermillions are pretty huge. A pair of them adds a significant amount of HP. Last season by end game, I had a pair of both and I would swap between DPS for bossing and HP for super juiced harbinger farming. This season, I dunno if I'll bother getting that deep into it haha. I was just curious if like... they didn't interact with Toxic Rain like I thought they did, because nobody in the top 10 TRT's are using them, so I was like really confused why I'm using them and nobody else is. 23%x2 is a significant boost, plus i essence crafted mine for another 35%x2... and I stilll kinda MEHHHH on bosses that don't stand still. I really wish they didn't nerf the movement speed debuff for toxic rain.

@@born2reign765 I'm not sure what counts as "normal" toxic rain to be hones. This was extremely smooth as a league start and allowed for easy bossing due to the ability to run around while dropping ballista.

Sorry, there will be no 3.17 update as I'd have the play the build again, too much has changed. But if you look at Lighty's Toxic Rain Champion you will find a more up to date version of TR.

Wait you spent 7 ex just to get the bow before multimodding? You do know you can get the whole bow completely done with 11 ex right? You just spent 15 ex on a 11 ex bow, RIP

You know the the cheapest finished bows were 25 ex when I made mine, right? Also according to this: www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Expedition/5pJ8anmTa the cheapest comparable finished bow is 16 ex, not 11. RIP.

Those bows are not 11ex, if you find one of those for 11ex means the one is selling it it's losing money. Making those bows with the actual prices will be around 15/16ex or even more if you're unlucky with the beasts.
