This is a masterpiece. Discovery, intrigue, sadness, despair, gravity, courage, perseverance. It is tailored perfectly to the ambience of the game.

What a huge shame this track is now gone, I think I can say without exaggeration that this is what got me hooked on PoE.

Oh my goddddddd, when the piano kicks in at 1:02 😢 I used to leave the game running in the background just to listen to this, it was so soothing to me. 😭

This goes so friggin well with the old login screen music as well. We get to see from the perspective of every exile from oriath being shipped like unwanted cargo under the decks, and then you find yourself on the shores with the carcasses of others who could not swim as well as you, many of them weren't warriors after all. And then you make it to lioneye's watch with the sound of a crying baby, almost like it was symbolically another chance at life for you and everyone there, huddled near the torches under the drizzling coastal rain. Despite oriath's attempts to banish you to death in the dangerous continent of wraeclast, life still finds a way to hold on. What a way to start your journey to vengeance and a new beginning!

This track is flawless and should never have been changed. Besides just being a really pretty song to listen to, it fits the game perfectly.

Didn't play too much of PoE, but I think this song really resonates with the theme of the game. Such a great theme. Hopped back on not too long ago and saw it was changed, I'll miss it.

Why of all the songs in the game did they replace this one? It sets up the whole journey you are about to go on so perfectly.

OMG i forgot about this track! Recently picked up Path of Exile again, and always felt something was missing, upon hearing this track, i now know what was missing!

I remeber logging in to the first area just to listen to this while i studied.

Lioneye's Watch, one of the last bastions of hope in this land of the damned. Song really setup the tune of the game real nicely.

1200h of playing this game...the first half of it was listening to this song. Now im not a newbie anymore...but at what price?I will never feel the same when playing this game...no filters,no POE Trade,picking up every single rare and vendoring magics and playing SSF before it was a thing.

It's been nearly 10 years already? I remember playing closed beta when I was 17. Simpler times, and this brings me so much nostalgia. The game has come a long way since then. I've put over 9000 hours in to it over the last 10 years but the game just isn't fun for me anymore. For a few years this game was my life, it helped me get by. Everything comes to an end eventually I guess

Oh I have such an emotional connection with this song, remembering my noobie days, not knowing wtf I was doing. Good times it was. I would always get pumped up every time I heard it playing. Miss it though, but at least I can listen to it here.

This is superb and nostalgic and I also love it very much.. It's hardcoded in my brain as Path of Exile's music.. But people should stop hating on the new track wich is also amazing.. I just wish we could have both in the game in different locations..

I didn't play Path of Exile very long, like 20 hours according to steam a VERY long time, but the main thing(s) I remember were the intimidating progression tree and the first zone's theme. I remember just listening to it for hours in the first camp (town?). What a great piece

Brings back alot of memories. Total noob trying to color my 5l QOTF to 5 blue followed by rage quit and saying this game suck to only find myself playing it again next day. This game have alot of flaws, but its one of the best games i ever played and loved/hated for its RNG.

I can't believe this and the old title theme would be cut from the game. Everything about the original character selection screen was better. I don't know who the statue man is or why PoE apparently revolves around him to the point that he would be on our login screen for several years now? This theme reminds me of the original vision for the game, but I don't feel nostalgic as much as... a little bit safe, at home, and my imagination is inspired. I guess there are a lot of possibilities for PoE that weren't realized because of real world limitations and I can't wait to explore them in my dreams.

This song is some other level man! I mean, I felt all different kind of emotions each time that I visited Lioneye's Watch because of this song. As I got stronger, part of me still wanted to go to Lioneye's Watch to listen this masterpiece to remind myself that I was an exile that had been left to dead in a world , full of foul creatures. Good ol' times.

Even though I've been playing PoE with the newer music, I really like this one better.

Geez, I really miss this one, I really want to use this in my Hideout. Nothing beat this tone of a place to call home for an Exile. I can sit back, relax, prepare for something waiting outside. Not that I hate the new one, but this one stuck in my mind for a reason.

I frankly think the new composer for POE is doing a fantastic job but there are some instance where I think the old musics were better and this is one of them along with the bridge encampment and the Lunaris temple.

After so many years this track hits my heart harder than Tristram theme. Should be played in main menu or character creation even if in game music is disabled.

miss the old time POE, miss the previous Nessa voice, miss all the inconvenient UI, miss watching GGG improved everything slowly, incrementally. POE nowadays got many awesome contents, still keep moving and i enjoy it every time i came back playing the new league. But the old time POE has the most memories.

I miss this... Not that the current theme is not good or worst or anything but this one had something special to it...

when i got into poe back in the days (i think it was during "breach"-league) i couldnt believe how good the game was...i remember thinking to myself..."this is it...this is the best game i have ever played" since it satisfied all my personal criteria for a (arpg) game....it was truly a great experience for me. i dont play anymore because i burned out on it.
