Final submission for the 2021 Talent Competition and probably one of the most demanding pieces I’ve covered thus far. The repeating triplets gave me some Erlkönig vibes, and my thumbs took some damage. Held notes + thumb staccatos in the beginning probably sounds less impressive than the arpeggios at the end but are 10x more difficult. I added two extra measures to the ending climax because it’s my favorite part, with a Chopin etude-esque arpeggio flair.
I’m not 100% happy with this, but I’m out of time to practice and perfect. Orion has always been somewhat of a stretch goal...Done by ear with no sheet music. Hope you enjoy!

Can you do a tutorial on how to learn this Masterpiece? i was able replicate the slow part in the beginning myself, but the rest is undoable because of the speed of play even with 0.25 speed :/

I don't have much experience in doing tutorials, but maybe I can guide a bit! The first segment of continuous chords are based on a sequence of (1) (E-E-E)-(D#-D#-D#)-(E-B-B)-(B-B-B) triplets which repeats, sustained by either a third interval down or a forth interval down. When the melody comes in, you sustain that melody with the 5th finger (2)(E-F#-G-E)-(A-B-G-F#)-(E-F#-G-E)-(E-D#-E), while playing the triplets with the 1st and 2nd finger. The left hand are simple e minor chords, inverted at a few places. Then the LF takes over the triplets (1), and the RH has just the melody: (3)(E-F#-G-A)(E-F#-G-B)(F#-G-A-C)(B-A#-B-D#)...then that same sequence repeats, only moving both LF and RH an octave higher. The climax repeats the first triplet sequence in a chord form, followed by a few measures of arpeggios in the LH that supports the melody (E-B-B-A-G-A-C-B), then a triplet interlude (E-E-E)-(D-D-D)-(E-E-E)-(F#-F#-G), and the melody repeats again, just once more, or 3 more times (what's in this video) if you like to embellish with more runs. Hope that helps!
