Dr. Jonathan Zimmerman is one of the leading education historians today. His work examines how education policies and practices have evolved and where political and social movements intersect with teaching and learning. Dr. Zimmerman holds a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, and he has authored books on sex and alcohol education, history and religion in school curricula, the history of public schooling, and teaching controversial issues in the classroom. His most recent book, published in April 2021, is titled 'Free Speech: And Why You Should Give a Damn.' //
