Welcome to D6Damage. Today I’m analyzing the Hunter Class for Pathfinder 1E. I will be breaking down class features, like the animal companion, animal focus, improved empathic link and teamwork feats, as well as giving my take on your key ability scores, best choices for race and feats.

Glad the timing worked out. There are other videos on the channel that might also help out a hunter build, stuff like ranged and melee combat, AC, and the animal companion.

It makes me really happy to see 1e pathfinder content Cause been playing with some friends that already know what they are doing and those help me kinda pick it up a little bit better without being the newbie asking too much questions a lot LOL

Glad the videos were helpful. Pathfinder 1e has a lot of cool customization and depth that you don't find in other systems.

Great video, thanks for keeping the Pathfinder 1e love going! Ahh, the hunter. I really like the hunter. PLaying one right now. DM allowed me to play with a velociraptor. DM's, beware, raptors are very powerful. Sure, I know, Raptors start small, become large at 7th level, can't be used as a mount, even by a small crature, but at 7th level, they get 5 natural attacks and pounce! Get them a helm of the mammoth lord and end up with a 6th. Also, none of their attacks are secondary. I prefer melee focused. Using a nodachi (martial weapon,1d10 damage, 18 to 20 crit range) and trying to get crits to proc aoos from my buddy. Anyway, with the right feats, can be very brutal. pack flanking is one, you need int 13 and combat expertise, but with this feat, you can stand next to your animal companion and be considered flanking. With outflank that is a +4 to hit on all attacks almost all the time. You can also get precise strike for an extra 1d6 per you and your buddies attacks, dirty fighter trait (might not be the exact right one) for an extra +1 to damage (not great, but with all the attacks you can get, it can be a bit of a boost). Oh...did you know that there is a spell, Sense Vitals that appears on multiple classes spell lists. Like Sorcerers, Bards, Antipaladin...and Ranger! which means you get that too. And you know what else...you can cast that on your animal companion, or split the duration with improved shared spells. 1 round per level, cut in half, to give you both 1d6 sneak attack per three caster levels has the potential to make short work of the enemy. Animal focus is just icing on the blood soaked cake. Anyway, thank you for the video. hope to see more 1e content!

D6 after playing both systems for a while now, do you prefer 1e or 2e and why?

I prefer 1e. I like the casting system better in 1e. Also, there are so many great classes and archetypes . The combat feels more fast-paced to me.

I played a Hunter (Feral Archetype)/Monk (Zen Archer) in one campaign. She was SO GOOD. Buff myself and apply all my archery bonuses from Hunter and Zen Archer. Good Times
