The time has come for the last of the non-starstone deities. This week, it's time for Pharasma, the Lady of Graves, and the first of the gods.
Pharasma plays arguably the most important cosmic role among the gods. Not only is she the arbiter of final judgement, meaning she chooses where souls go in the afterlife, but she is also the last survivor of a previous incarnation of reality. With all that she's seen, you might think that nothing could frighten the Gray Lady. But you would be wrong.

Best God to use in a "fish out of water" scenario with people going to different lands, worlds or times. No matter how strange things get the lady of graves is always there... Waiting and judging. And she remembers when people start videos by calling her ancient.

The irony of my male elven cleric follower of Cayden taking on a new archetype that is actually from Pharasma, finding this video to get more details on Pharasma, finding that she would have been a really close fit for a field medic in the Taldoran military...and then hearing that black roses are a sign of her favor and good luck!! His family are lords of rose gardens and make perfumes. I'm dying from how accurate this is now when I knew nothing about this before. Thanks for these videos. I'll be checking out a few more.

I'm so glad that you mentioned that Spirit Instinct Barbarians would also be worshipping her too! Mine does. Hyped to hear about About Aroden, the one who gave it all up to give his people a chance.

Yeah, Spirit Instinct Barbarians are awesome. I have a barbarian character from the Skoan-Quah Shoanti who I'm just waiting for the right campaign to play. I'm going to warn you right now, I come down pretty hard on Aroden. Not to spoil next week's video, but I see him as- at best- pretty morally gray.

25:51 The Lady's Spiral is in the Book of the Dead(a 2e book for those that may not know)! I am actually going to use it in a campaign I am working on. It was REALLY hard to find because all I could remember was what it did from a review video I had seen back when the book came out.

I'm running Bloodlords and one of my players is a Duskwalker follower of pharasma who came back in Geb but hasn't had any interactions with pharasman followers so we're exploring a very complex version of faith and how that mixes with those who are unwillingly turned undead. another player is a skeleton who worships Arazni because he was unwillingly turned but seeks to better himself for this version of life with her guidance and it gets very cool with the nuance of their faiths as they aren't technically antithetical but on the surface definitely are You have to have player investment but the gods in Pathfinder have so much room to explore

Oh, I'm well aware! I was refreshing my Paizo blog page like a maniac waiting for the post to drop. I was super worried the post was going to announce the death of one of the last two gods I have to cover in the Core Twenty (Norgorber and Cayden).

I've got an idea pharasma folower that was turned undead, after realising what he become he couldn't bring himself to end his unlife, but even in his blasphemous existance he diced to bring as much undead to Pharasma's judgment as he could at least

Recently started to look up her rogue servants the sahkil given in part realized they are one of the only fiends without a type of tiefling or half fiend associated with them and given even the qlippoth have them don't see why the sahkil shouldn't even though the originals likely a result of rituals and curses or such given it would be a means to strike against part if her portfolio and spread fear

Why you say you're talking about 2nd edition when 90% of your stuff is from 1e sourcebooks like Inner Sea Gods

Good question. Two reasons. One: anything I mention about game mechanics is in reference to 2e mechanics, not 1e (unless I specify otherwise). Two: any lore from 2e supercedes lore from 1e, when they contradict. Edit: I also mention it to clarify to viewers early in the video that I am looking at the deity from the perspective of someone coming from 2e, where (for the most part) the 1e adventure paths are assumed to have happened. I try to call out when I spoil specific events in APs from 1e, but certain background details (Tar-Baphon being back, the existence of New Thassilon, etc.) are more generic spoilers that I still need to address.
