Next winter I'll be testing this blanket in conjunction with the forresters quilt. Maybe even the quilt and the queen size wool blanket. I'm a cold sleeper so this should bean interesting test.

This is so great! I had been looking at these for years in their previous versions, but never pulled the trigger because of the size. Increasing the size and putting tie outs on it, puts it over the top. NICE!

Dave, thanks so much for putting the time in to research a product for yourself before you offer it to customers. That means a lot to me. I value your prospective greatly. In other words, thanks for cutting through the b.s. Taking the time to make a video, and presenting it to fellow outdoorsmen in a professional fasion. Good on you sir! Thanks.

I have a stadium blanket like that, but it is a 8x10. It is probably the warmest outdoor blanket that I have ever seen, but it is heavy. I have used it much the way that you set it up as well as in my hammock as a sleeping bag. Great piece of heavy kit.

nice, I was expecting the price to be a lot more, but for what it can do, it's one of the better options. How was the wear over the months use? did your test sample have the tie out loops? +1 in by book.

Judging by the ending there, the ty-outs also make it possible to wear it with a hood… only critique i would have is 6by7 and not 7by7 or 8by8. Like i'm just over 6ft ~ 1.83m, which means there is just a 1ft of extra material and just in one direction. Which is also one of my concerns for the space blanket... though seeing that would add roughly $100 to the price at the current price per 1^2 ft, maybe not as it would price it out of the market at that point... still interesting product and certainly worth a consideration. Also looks like a piece of gear for a hunting stand tbh.

Issue with fabric is Bolt width, one you go beyond that you have a seam with potential issues to deal with-
@MBwelding
@MBwelding 5 жыл бұрын
Dave has a point the seam is a weak link but the size would be pretty awesome in an 8x8 or even 7x7 kinda a wool blanket/ tarp substitute for 40+temps with a chance of rain vs carrying both items in north east California where I live you got to be ready for storms at an moment even in the summer it can snow here but hard to carry a wool blanket and tarp around in August when it's 116 out even though there is a chance of a major storm at any moment
