One of the reasons for high price of the Rafale M is that the French believed that India with depleting number of squadrons and with domestic pressure, India will be compelled to procure their aircraft at high price. India should go on war footing for its indigenous aircraft like Tejas MK2, TEDBF and AMCA. Full thrust should be put for development of suitable Kaveri engine with desired thrust.

This is a fantastic move by Indian government. I have been waiting for some good approach in transfer of technology which was recently conducted a survey Neechal approach with general electrics USA but we got only 80% of transfer of technology that was not satisfactory enough to make a complete engine without General Electric‘s guidance in future. Now after 80% of transfer of technology offer from General Electric’s for a MC a weekend demand for a $20 billion deal transfer complete transfer of technology from other companies to this shall be the boldest heaviest and costliest demanded deal From Indian side. I think all the think tank and special programme initiatives and the idea givers and the bold move takers of India Jai Hind Jai Bharat love to all Indians❤

Under the current Global scenarios India atleast have 3 to 5 years at it's disposal to go for such terms and conditions and under such circumstances our internal manufacturing will get momentum and if necessary Nasik like manufacturing Units will come up in other provinces of India France had played hide & seek with us and the expenses incurred for Ukraine may be heaped upon us as unit price of the Aircraft. Delivery time of the specified Aircraft is also a concern. Wartorn Russia is also contemplating to shift their defence manufacturing base outside their boundary and India is well placed by all counts for this purpose , so far Russia is concerned. Moreover India's very recent diplomacy with Russia will keep China at bay for atleast several years -- the Tibet issue notwithstanding . Westerners cannot be trusted at this hour anymore when India's global stature is rising on all fronts. Therefore, if India can stick to this decision having a steaming Plan B , hope India will get the desired results.

@@amit_999patel F15 to nahi ayega kyuki apne pass heavy weight me SU30 hai and super sukho upgrade ke baad wo aur lethal ho jayega. Rahi baat rafael ki to DASSAULT to ab manmani pe utar aya hai aur unke order book bhi full hai so for now being MRFA deal me koi scope nazar Aa nahi raha. Maybe sayad govt to govt deal karke 36 ya 54 aur Rafael lekar ye 15 saal purani kahani khatam ho jayegi

What if Russia offers its su35 with TOT? India would still not want Russian technology. This offer is to lure only French or American jets.
