This is where your small simpleton brain lacks critical thinking. Which one do you think is better, you get to know only once everything is over or you get the information at every stage and based on that we can call out or support the decision taken by the govt based on how it'll impact us later on. Use your brain a little bit more and start thinking for yourself, also it's not that this is a new thing where even these offers are becoming news, it's just that 10-12 yrs ago you were a kid and hated watching news and reading newspapers and were too busy watching tom & Jerry, Ben 10 and Dragon ball Z.

If we compare AMCA's engine with F35 lightening 2's engine Both are single engine fighter aircraft AMCA's F414 engine produces 98Kn thrust while F35 lightening 2 produces 191Kn thrust with Pratt & Whitney F135 engine. Watch the wording - Technology Transfer usually refers to license manufacture only, while Intellectual Property Rights refers to owning the rights to develop, update, alter, export, produce etc. The latter is what is required, and unless the technology is obsolete nobody will offer it. To hold IPR, you have to design/develop it or a part of it (in a joint venture) yourself.yourself
