A patient basset hound dog named Goose teaches a basset hound puppy named Georgie how to use the pet door that leads to the backyard. Goose goes through the dog door multiple times but Georgie still doesn't understand and whines until Goose sticks only its head halfway through the door. Georgie finally understands how the dog door works and they both happily play together outside.

That is a reset and you can actually do that yourself when training with your dog. Getting him out of the situation by walking away with him and circling him like that (shielding him from the situation for a second), actually resetting and then trying again as a new approach helps tremendously when your dog is getting frustrated like here. It's the equivalent of taking a deep breath so to speak.

This reminds me of my dogs, but in reverse. I had an old pomeranian that had developed cataracts, and my daughter had a Chihuahua that had puppies. One day I noticed to pomeranian was bumping his head against the sliding glass door. I wasn't sure what he was doing. But one of the 4 month old puppies, Sofi, saw, ran out the doggie door, and let out several soft yips. The pomeranian heard and followed the sounds to the doggie door and was able to go outside. It was such a sweet moment that showed Sofi very much loved her honorary Grandpa, Pache.😢😢
